Please check your ego at the door. I'm a simple kind of man. I don't care to go out to the bars too often, though I admit I go out when I need to surround myself with male energy. However, I can't stand the genre of music at the gay bars. Overall Im not a fan of bars. I ended an 8 year relationship last sept. I've been single for a year and am ready to start dating. Once you have a taste of ***I don't surf because Im lazy LOL - I am very active. I used to stay fit by lifting. I stopped lifting last June, for numerous reasons (Boredom being the primary reason). I've replaced lifting with Yoga. I love it. I love to dance. I get into the music. I don't need to get inebriated to dance. I believe dancing used to be a form of prayer (hello rain dance) but as we have become more disconnected in this connected age we have forgotten about the power of dancing. Deep house music is my favorite music. Im simple. Going to the beach would work, a night out listening to deep house. The perfect date would be kitesurfing with someone who knows how to kitesurf. I'd settle for going out for a drink.

What makes me unique is that I cannot settle down in one place for long- a few years at the most. When I was a kid, my family moved all over the world because my dad was in the military. As an adult, I moved every few years because of my job with the airlines. I've always envied my friends who could drive to the suburbs to see their families. For me, it's a 30 hour plane ride with a four hour connection in Tokyo. Yet, I do it three times a year. Despite always saying good-bye in various languages, my world has its benefits. I have seen more than most will see in their lifetimes. I know it's very cliche; but home is where the heart is. I really hope to settle down one day soon; but until then, I hope the man of my dreams will travel the world beside me. I cannot wait! I should NOT plan first dates. they're always flops. One time, I got into a really bad car accident (my fault), another one never had thai food before and was allergic to peanuts, I went to a casino once where my date learned he was a gambling addict- that was a long drive home. But the best date I ever had was sitting at the table outside whole foods eating lunch. A nice man asked me if he could join me. My lunch turned into a walk that became a date that lasted 3 hours. He gave me his number on a piece if paper. I put it in my pocket. As I walked home, it began to rain. By the time i pulled the piece of paper from my pocket, it was too late. The number was gone- smeared away. I guess it wasn't meant to be.I've had great dates and I've had bad ones. My ideal dates would be simple, relaxed, and harmless.
