Aside from typical things like movies and music, I really enjoy mountain biking, camping, fishing, my Jeep, art (my favorite artist is Rothko) going out to dinner and hanging out with friends, a good scotch and (rarely) smoking a nice cigar, watching Hockey and Buckeyes football. I'm looking for someone who enjoys some (but not all, I'm not looking for a relationship with myself) of these things as well.I have a very strong technical mentality but also have a creative side that doesn't get exercised nearly as much as I would like. I'm extremely patient but when it's time for something to happen, it's time. I like to discuss just about anything and believe that sharing opposing viewpoints stimulates your mind and keeps you open to new ideas. I'm trusting but move slowly into relationships. I believe that all people have good in them, regardless of whether they display it. I guess the biggest thing I can say about what I need in a partner is someone who is fine letting me be me and is easy to talk to. I mean, all of the things that makes a person him/herself is what makes them interesting. Right? It's pretty damn tasty! I'm not sure what I'm supposed to put here. What I'd like to do as a first date? How my first dates normally go? What you should know before a date? Maybe a little of all three.In a perfect world, a first date should be relaxed. Have a drink or two to get the blood flowing and relax a little bit. Talk about mutually interesting topics. Spend little time talking about things specific to yourself. I'd want to be really smooth, whitty and charming.... but I'm not smooth. Haha! I mean, I can manage charming sometimes and whittiness comes and goes but smooth, I am not. The truth is, I suck at first dates. I get better as time goes on, as I get more comfortable being around someone. I actually prefer dates that don't feel like dates, if that makes any sense.
