Most people would describe me as a cool, laid-back, fun-loving guy. I am outgoing, funny and adventurous. I am athletic, I love sports, I work out regularly and I try to stay very active, and just enjoy life. I figured, what’s better than that? I get to save lives, make people feel better, get to wear comfortable scrubs, and I think I look darn sexy with a stethoscope! But then I realized that it might not be a great career move for me since I hated science. I worked as a stockbroker for 2 days (loved getting yelled at by executives for tricking their secretaries into getting them on the phone so I could pitch our hot stocks), worked as a technical recruiter for a couple of months (didn’t like the fact that my bosses suggested I use the line “Hi, I am one of America’s Most Wanted and I’m calling to turn myself in….. Just kidding…I’m a technical recruiter…are you looking for a new job?”). I also worked for a record label for a while, which was pretty cool. I met some famous bands and singers including Paula Abdul, who wouldn’t let me be in one of her music videos (probably a good move.)But alas, I finally settled into a career in public relations where I’ve established a successful career. I figured it was more ideal for me because I’m outgoing, love talking to people (at some point, you might ask me to shut up already, but don’t worry, I won’t take offense), I am interested in what's in the news, whether it's breaking news or pop culture, and I like to write. I deal with reporters all day, trying to get my clients mentioned in the press, while keeping negative stories about myself out of the press (learned my lesson after pictures surfaced of me getting really drunk and dancing on top of a table with a lampshade on my head at a local government fundraiser….but those pictures were fabricated, I tell ya!). I am licensed through the state as a funeral director. I own and operate my family's funeral home. This profession requires me to live close to work since I am sometimes on call 24 hours a day....and sometimes for extended periods of time. This means I can not move far from town. This also means that I am sometimes called away during important events.....birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays....and also during dates. I realize that this gives me a lot of X's against me...however, you'd have to give those same X's to ER Doctors, fire fighters, and EMT's....I guess I am looking for someone that is open minded about what I do.Now.....more about me......I have been single for almost 4 years now......I read a lot of profiles that ask if there are any NORMAL guys left out there....unfortunately, I have to say the same thing about women.....are any out there? :D I am athletic....so I tend to stay active and I am looking for someone that can at least keep up with me half the time. I travel often.....for vacation.....and my trips usually include long, all day walks.....so if you like to travel and want to do that with me....you better like walking :) I am a very fun and sarcastic and positive person...and I am always smiling. I live life as best and fun as I can because you never know what tomorrow brings. I like to think that having a good job, being educated, having all my “stuff” together, being surrounded by great friends and family, being a great dad (I have my daughter more than 50% of the time), bringing home a championship trophy by coaching my daughter's softball team :), and being a good person, would be good enough for most....unfortunately, life doesn't work as simple as that, apparently there is a thing called “looks!” Over rated! :D Ha!!!!! Seriously though, I understand there needs to be attraction and chemistry between us....so I am not offended if I get a “no thanks.” I hear that some d-bags get offended when women don't respond to *** the crazy ones....good luck if you end up with one of those! :DI really don't have a typical weekend since they are always filled up with family events, work, town festivals, vacations, and the rest go to my daughter and friends.
