I think a good relationship is when each person takes an interest in one another's passions. I love open and honest communication. Nothing should be one-sided. I am always up for learning about someone and I think it's healthy to have differences. Yes, you have to be physically attracted to each other, but I need someone with depth, as well. For fun I love to exercise, I am big into sports.It's been a challenge to push myself to a new level of fitness and a work in progress. I can enjoy going out and socializing, but nothing beats a quiet night hanging out at home or traveling somewhere. I love places with history, but who don't mind a Caribbean vacation. I am pretty honest and open, no games, and I am looking for someone that is interested in a mature relationship. And I am a big dog lover so liking dogs is a must! I have a 5-year old golden retriever that keeps me active! An ideal date first day is usually casual, probably coffee, nothing intense. There needs to be conversation since I want to learn about the other person.

Okay, I am not very good at talking about myself but here it goes. I am a man who chooses to laugh his way through life. I am classy, know how to dress, old fashion, and know how to treat a lady. I love all kinds of music. I like going to sporting events like the Blackhawks games. I love sports in general but do not revolve my life around them. I love to cook, hang out, and watch a good movie. I know how to have a really good time and only expect you to enjoy yourself and be a joy to be around. I moved here last April and still have a lot of exploring to do (I wanna see the BEAN man!) And would like to find someone to do that with. I have traveled a lot in the past with my job and love to travel seeking new adventures, but hopefully have worked into a good situation where I will be in this area working for a long time. Even if I do need to go somewhere for a few weeks in the distant future... I will still hang my hat here. Which is good... I think. And that doesn't mean I am a serial dater. I have been single for 2 years after being married for 10 and with my son's mother for two. Don't want to even think about how many times I've rewritten this. It's hard to sell/talk about yourself. I'm at a point in my life where i'd like to find a good woman and settle down. No, that does not mean I want to get married tomorrow. Far from it. But i've come to realize that I'm missing the companionship of a good woman. My interests vary. I'm happy and content curling up on the couch to a good movie, or going out on the town. As for hobbies, I've been missing going drag racing. One of these days when the economy is better I'll get back into it. As for now, I enjoy getting out and riding the motorcycle with good friends.I've recently gotten back into riding my bicycle and running. Would love to find somebody to go kayaking with.Good luck in your search. I'd prefer to do something active. Whether it be bowling, putt-putt, a bike ride, kayaking, or even going golfing. Something where we can interact and don't have to be so serious.
