I enjoy playing the piano, listening to music (if you are a Celine Dion fan this may be a challenge), writing poetry, reading, watching movies, riding my bike, cooking, meditating, tai chi (strictly for self defense); I strive for balance in life and love learning new things. I know myself very well - and I am an intuitive, open-minded, compassionate, affectionate (it would be great if you were too!), sensitive guy. I value my friendships deeply and I try to surround myself with compassionate, supportive, kind people; I generally avoid those who are overly negative and/or narcissistic. I enjoy conversing with others about a diverse range of things and feel I am a good listener. I have an unconventional, but good sense of humor, and I seek out people/things which make me laugh. I love animals (especially cats!!) and it would be a bonus (but not necessary) if you had one. I am not materialistic or vain. I take joy in life's simple pleasures. I am also content to be doing not much of anything (especially with good company!) and simply kicking back and relaxing.I try to keep healthy and I exercise daily. Ideally I would like to meet someone who is active and leads a healthy lifestyle but not overly obsessive about exercise (e.g. ironman triathlete). Further, at present my physical activity is limited due to a few very stubborn injuries. I say this because I would like to meet someone who is also interested in sharing other forms of activity (e.g. cooking and eating good food, going to shows, visiting serene places, watching movies, traveling, reading by the beach, or whatever else our hearts desire!). And I have put I am looking for a relationship. More accurately, I would like to get to know someone and simply see what happens - and I am open to friendship, dating, or a relationship (if it were the right person).Overall, I am seeking someone whom is intelligent, kind, open-minded, compassionate, has a sense of humor, and doesn't take life too seriously. That being said, whether we connect, and the level of comfort we have with each other trumps any list.     Why isn't there something in between,'wanting to date but nothing serious', and 'wants a relationship?'How about, 'I want to date until i find the one i want a relationship with?' That's me.
