Man. 60 years old. Zodiac sign: Taurus.
Looking for: woman. In age: 25-70
I work in educational technology at a small college. Most of my time outside work is spent with my kids, some with a band, and recently I've been helping out a local theater group. I worked in the music industry (forget industry--with, in, and around music) for many years, but now I'm in an academic world. I miss being involved in music and the arts, and I'm finding my way back. I've studied engineering, psychology, sociology, and communication. While I don't consider myself a musician, I've been in many sorts of bands. Right now I'm in a garage/punk/noise trio. No, not a cover band. We have some sounds on bandcamp and a *** rock changed our lives. I used to read a mess of philosophy and science fiction. Lately I've been reading about how to be a single parent. The philosophy and science fiction are more useful. Traveling is wonderful, especially driving. I've been to all but two states (Idaho and Hawaii, in case you plan to keep score) and most of Canada. I lived in Arizona and Alaska for brief periods, but I love New England best. I might be prejudiced. But it's true, I love New England best. Fierce and fearless can coexist with kindness and sincerity. I enjoy people who are not afraid to debate, and do so to inform themselves and others. Honest people have a sense of humor, especially about themselves. Passionate confusion rocks. I respect those who appreciate reason, but it does not drive their life. I'm seeking friends with similar or completely different interests--curious, creative, open-minded non-conformists.. If you are honest and trustworthy and interested in communication as a way to improve yourself and the world, then I hope you'll say hello. Note that I work in Hartford but live in Woodstock, so if you're in central CT, we're closer than it would appear--at least some of the time.

Man. 31 years old. Zodiac sign: Virgo.
Looking for: woman. In age: 28-38
Most people decribe me as a nice guy with a sense of humor (sarcastic, wise-arse mostly). Loyalty and family are important to me, and ive been known to do anything for those I care about. Go for the gold or go home. People sometimes describe me as quiet ( at least at first) though I think a better term would be aloof. I like to know where I stand before I open up, bad habit I guess. I like to work with my hands as much as I can. I can draw, paint (miniatures, figures, models etc, not canvas), create from scratch or otherwise Jury-rig things into existance. I like to read, movies and tv are a passion. Huge popculture nerd right here. Love music and try to go to as many concerts a year as I can. Not much of a sports fan, with the exception of football. And now for the reason im here, and what im looking for. Im here because I dont really have the time or the opportunity to really meet anyone out here in the real world, im not a bar/club goer, so im turning to the matrix.. er.. internet. Met some of my best friends on the internet, so why not. Plus you can tell alot about someone from how they behave on the internet, when there isnt any "consequences" for their actions or things they say. So, who here is looking for a wise-ass movie-quoting nice guy? Show of hands... cmon raise em up.*Edit* Changed intro quote... so dissappointing to see how few people have apparently seen Ghostbusters.*Edit* Starting to think this is a waste of my time...
