About Me

There is a ton of sh*tI wrote below this.. but it really boils down to this...I am looking for someone to spend time with. Someone that I wake up wanting to talk to. Someone that I can go to movies, and other events with, and treat like she is the most important person in my world. Someone that can come over and spend time with me without us having to go do anything, and yet enjoy just being around each other.If you that interests you.. read the rest. Most of it is just to give you an idea of where I am at.I teach video game design at a local college and run the department. Yes. I get paid to talk about video games, so don't be surprised if I play them a lot or find you interesting because you share that passion. And no, I will not nerdgasm over you just because you have boobs and play video games. Though I will find it pretty awesome... just like I find it awesome to meet anyone that likes good games. (if you are an xbox lover or play a lot of CoD I will tease you though)I am looking for a woman to marry and have children with.I don't expect that to happen tomorrow... and I am fine with taking it slow - to be honest, slow is even better.I want a woman that likes to read and play video games. She doesn't have to be a fanatic.. but they are both things I do a lot (both for pleasure and for work) So at the very least, be okay with that, and don't expect me to stop. If you have a problem with dogs, we won't work out.I also like to go hiking and camping, though it has been a while since I had the chance. I am looking to get more active and out there. No, I am not in perfect shape. I am working on getting back into a more healthy lifestyle though and I am back to the gym and trying to go roller skating weekly. I would love to find someone that wants to skate with me. I won't even mind if you laugh when I fall on my ass.If all you care about is how skinny/athletic someone is though, we probably won't work out. I want a real relationship, and if the outside appearance is all that matters, then we are not anywhere close to being on the same path in life. (and good luck with that as you get older)I want someone that can actually hold a conversation. That doesn't reply to texts with one word answers. Someone that will tell me what is on her mind if she isn't happy, before it blows up into something bigger. (and yes I will do the same)I want someone that thinks it is cool that even though my ex and I are broken up... I didn't break up with her kids. (and yes.. that means that now and then.. I still spend time with them and make sure they know I still care.. regardless if their mother and I aren't together anymore. It isn't often, but after being part of their lives for 3+ years.. it seems really shitty to just disappear.) And no.. this doesn't mean there is drama, nor does it mean I am not over their mom.I want someone that can come over and spend time together and just enjoy being together without having to DO anything. And it would also be nice to find someone that wants to go to events like First Friday or the Frightdome... saw Wicked there and it was fantastic)Someone that is doing something with her life. Doesn't have to be brain surgery or quantum physics (though both would be pretty badass) but some goals would be nice. Working a retail job forever is okay I guess.. but hopefully you would be attempting to improve your lot. College education is great. Not 100% mandatory.. but it definitely is a plus.and a bunch of other crap... (and yes.. I swear at times... sometimes too much).Some additional things about me... Politically I like to think of myself as middle of the road... but sadly because of how badly the tea party nuts have swung the republicans/conservatives into extreme right field... it makes it hard to look like anything other than a democrat/liberal. But if you think Obama is the Devil.. or that guns are your personal saviors (or if you think that *any* kind of restrictions on guns is the downward spiral to hitler taking over the nation).... or you think old white men (or invisible friends) should decide what women do with their vaginas.. or that god should have any place in our legislation or schools... we probably won't get along. I have a lot of conservative friends.. but I don't want to be married to a bible-thumping end of the world prepper.In regards to religion.. I am an Atheist. I do not believe in god at all. (and no.. that does not mean I believe there is no god.. atheism is not a belief, it is a lack of a belief.) philosophically I lean towards Moral Nihilism. So if you love a god and the bible or -insert xyz religious text-.. and all that... and you are really serious about it.. we probably won't work out. I don't want to raise kids to believe in imaginary friends. Especially ones that cause hatred and division around the world.If you smoke cigarettes and smell like it... we won't get along. I think most smokers smell like ass. Not into kissing ashtrays. If you are into weed.. as long as it doesn't rule you and you don't need to smoke it nonstop.. I am not totally opposed to that.Beyond that.. I am a fun guy. I have a good circle of friends.. I play board games like Talisman and Munchkin on the weekends. I try to be a pretty upbeat person and enjoy life. There are a lot of things I would like to do... but I am at the point where I really would like someone to do them with. If you are interested, let me know. I would take them on a date? It really depends on the person and the conversations we have had up until that point. Maybe we would hit up first friday... or go bowling... It would change based upon who I was with.

    I'm at a bit of a transitional point in my life. Just out of a very long term relationship and would love to meet and be around other people with common interest.
