Be original!For people that know me I'm an open book so hope I come off as real and honest. I try not to paint a pretty picture of myself, I just want to be truthful. I think I can seem a bit uptight at times but thats how I am when first getting to know people. Once you've been around a while you'll see I'm a goofball. I live alone, no pets though I hope to get a dog or cat eventually. I have a stable job with an excellent company I've been a part of for the past seven years. I'm tired of failed attempts at dating and relationships that end in heartache. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart. In the past I think I was a fearless and put myself out there. I guess I'm a little more guarded now, not as big a risk taker with my heart. I've learned that love isn't something that you can look for, it something that finds you. Sometimes it comes to people easier than others. I've been in love before. I know that because of how hard it was to move on. I've learned from the past and have grown from my experiences. I'm a better person because of my mistakes.I'm looking for a girl who is laid back and likes to have fun. I like someone who is confident in themselves and isn't afraid to admit it.     I got the Army in November of ***, after 10 years of service.I just finished school, and am now working as a IT/Desktop support specialist for a hospital. I hope to, eventually, become a system administrator, or possibly learn how to code and become a developer.I love sports, but baseball is my favorite. Yes, I am overly excited about the Google internet.I mostly listen to hard rock, metal, and alternative music (5 favorite bands are Nirvana, Metallica, 5 Finger Death Punch, Linkin Park, and Volbeat [Band #5 on my list is constantly changing, it was previously Stone Sour]), but I will listen to anything except techno (gives me a headache). As far as TV and movies go, I prefer comedies, but I will watch just about anything.I just, about a month ago, got a my first dog, and she is awesome! Apparently, according to friends and family, she has had a drastic impact on my life, and is helping me with my issues. For more info on my issues, see below.Now for the part that will scare most of you off. In my 10 years in the Army, I had 4 combat tours. Due to my experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan, I have recently been diagnosed with a mild form of PTSD. It doesn't affect me that much, but I have noticed that, on occasion, I will fly off the handle for no apparent reasonOkay, that's enough. I don't know. I'll think of something

    I'm an easy going, level headed guy. I was able to turn my passion and favorite sport (golf) into a career. I have a great job now that I love, I work in the IT field. I can explain more later if you want to hear some nerdy computer talk. I have lived in VA now for just over 2 years. Previously I was a golf professional - teaching and playing. That allowed me to travel around the country and to play some golf throughout my 20's. I was usually able to be around nice and interesting cities. It keeps me busy and I get to use my creativity. I'm currently trying to learn what plants and vegetables will work in my yard. I have a dog, 3 year old black lab - Indy. I do a lot with him on a daily basis. I train him to compete in field trials. Basically he has to retrieve and do it very well. It's fun teaching him and watching him learn. I'm a big fan of podcasts. It's where I get my daily news, listen to comedians and great interviews. I'm good at target/drinking games so if you need a partner for darts, bag toss, pool or horseshoes....you should probably contact me! I like to go out and experience things. I believe that I have found a great balance between work, all my projects and hobbies and the other things I love to do! I'm not one to sit still, so being busy fits me. Definitely not dinner and movie. It's hard to get to know someone while watching a movie. My suggestion would be for a drink and then maybe something semi active (throw darts, shoot pool, go for a walk).
