At the age of ten, I was whisked away to Crooklyn, which at the time, believe it or not, was nothing more than a sprawl of urban decay. I will never forget the graffiti tattooed trains, the gaggles of hoods, the racial tensions, and Times Square--with harsh Technicolor primary colored lights pointing to a peep shows or some other carnal plesuredomes. Tree of Life is also excellent and would have been my favorite if it were not for the last 20 minutes of surrealism. But over all it's a tremendous film...
