About Me

So I'm supposed to talk about myself... Yeah.... I'm not good at that. Let me see what I can do:I work in the OR of a major hospital as a surgical tech. What that means is that I scrub in and assist the surgeon during the procedure doing any number of different things. This is far less impressive than it sounds, but still quite challenging and fun. I like to go hiking, biking, camping, and any number of other types of things, though, at the moment, I've really slacked off on that. Simply no time, and no one to go with (a long walk in the woods can get old if it's just you). I also really enjoy cooking, watching movies, playing video games, and I'm an avid reader - my kindle is my most prized possession.I'm a pretty laid back person, calm and easygoing. That's not to say that I'm not opinionated and that I'm not passionate about things. I can be quite sarcastic, and I am very capable of laughing at myself, and in fact rarely take offense at anything someone says to me. I enjoy making people laugh, and will work pretty hard at it, though sometimes my particular sense of humor is not appreciated by everyone. Family and friends are very important to me, though I don't really stress about spending an infinite amount of time with them. Basically, I just take life as it comes, and try to work towards my goals.I'm looking to find someone that is independent, intelligent, and driven - while also able to integrate themselves well into a relationship. Being able to balance responsibility with spontaneity is a huge plus. I'm like most people, I need to like what I see, but more importantly, I need to like what I hear. Someone that has a wonderful mind will be far more attractive to me than the most beautiful airhead.I'm not trying to leap head first into a long term relationship. My goal is to meet someone that I get along with, then let things evolve naturally. If all this sounds good to you, then I hope to hear from you soon. Start with coffee or a drink, see where it takes us - from drinks to dinner or a movie. Maybe out to a club. Maybe skydiving... It really depends on how things go, but drinks or coffee are great for getting eyes on someone and talking a bit, seeing if there is potential. That being said, I'm pretty open-minded, so I'll give just about anything a go.
