About Me

A. in Sociology. A big reason for me choosing the UofA was to be close to family. For most of my life I have been at least 6 hours away, now I'm within 15 minutes of most of my family, it's nice. I graduated in December ***. The biggest thing I've learned since I graduated is to go with the flow. The chaos of post graduation is rough, but slowly I'm learning to relax and enjoy the ride. Right now I have two jobs that keep me rather busy ***hrs/week). I'm hoping once the new year starts I will be able to find the typical ***job, or I will finally commit to making myself go to grad school and get my MA in Sociology (and because I've done that I will probably go for my PhD((I'm already that close, might as well))).;Windows on the World: Complete Wine Course";In Defense of Food", and F.;The Great Gatsby" (listening to it actually). I read less now that I'm out of college, no papers or test I can really procrastinate working on, but for a good book I manage to squeeze in the time at home, sometimes at work, or when I go out to eat. Since I seem to be reading less I seem to making up for it with the number of books that I start to read and never quite finish.- If you can look beyond the violence and horror, Fight Club is a remarkably insightful book about men. ParkerJanet EvanovichMy favorite movies tend to rotate on a weekly basis depending on what I have watched most recently. This week it is probably Get Him to the Greek, The Invention of Lying, Poolhall Junkies, and Funny People. Lately I have been getting into the Black Keys. My one weird quirk is that I tend to listen to a lot of stand up comedy. Every Monday and Thursday before I head off to work I download the WTF Podcast with Marc Maron; in which he interviews various members of the comedy community. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I download Talkin' sh*twith Jim Jefferies and Eddie Ift, much less sophisticated that WTF, but we all need some less than high-brow humor in our life. When I was younger I was an extremely picky eater. As I've gotten older I've done my best to expand my tastes, I'm typically willing to try something new. I'm a huge fan of seafood.

I work alot out of town. When not working I enjoy grilling out, riding horses, fishing and anything outside, and dancing, and probably have a beer in my hand. I like country music, mostly older. Not to sure what to get out of this site. If nothing else maybe meet some new people. I'm pretty simple and a little old fashioned. Depends on the person.

I like to stay physically active. I crossfit, run, camp, bike, snowboard/ X country ski, and if I dont get to do any of these in my week, my feung shui gets thrown off. New physical activities like snow runs, Xfit comps., mud runs are in my perview, and I'm usually willing to try out less orthodox activities. Video games are fun, especially FPSs and RPGs (no worries, if you don't know what those are). I'm learning to play the piano and to produce music, although, I'm at the beginner stage. My goals include: racing my friend around the world, or at least explore more parts of the world, e.g., horn of Africa for great white sharks, Japan because its eastern and strange, or Ibiza for some electronic festivals. I will visit Ultra festival every year, untill I can't afford it. I'd like to go back to Germany and Austria and recessitate my German. Physically, I strive to become well balanced, but becoming bigger, faster, and stronger does give me an immediate rush. Ultimately, I'd like to produce music, which makes others and myself happy. This is a tricky one to articulate and narrow down, but I'll know it when it happens and, hopefully, you will too. Music wise, I like electronic music such as trance, dubstep, progressive house; metal; rock; some types of classical and soundtrack music.
