About Me

I work a lot and I'm on this site because I'm having difficulty finding time to meet people outside work. I truely love what I do and as a result I probably spend more time than maybe I should at work. I'm looking for someone to share my success with and possibly someone to start a bright future with. I'm after a motivated happy strong person. Anything but a movie. I want to be able to talk to you on our date

A little bit about me huh? Well you asked for it.... Here are some totally random facts about me-I'm scared of heights-Sarcasm is my lingua franca -My favorite colour is black, but not in a goth way lol. I don't even dress in black, I just like it.-I went to 4 different high schools ( still a record of anyone I've met)-I was quite the little chess master when i was young. hahaha that didn't pan out. What a geek I was.- I have two tattoos, and two more planned-I have an embarassingly bad taste in music, but hey you like what you like huh?-I'm a bit of a nerd. But I was doing it before it was popular! I swear!-I laugh at weird things-I'm a bit of a klutz :(-I wrote a book that nobody read, not even my friends. Well one did. But he was just being polite-I am unbeatable at the board game risk, and pretty good at monopoly too.-My favourite movie is Aliens, but I tell everyone that it is Flags of Our Fathers-I can't sit through an episode of Seinfeld and not laugh-My main drink is Canadian Club and Coke-I have one pet-Sometimes I sit there for hours just following links on Wikipedia-I've been arrested twice but not actually charged once (yaaay)-I used to be in the army and actually did a tour in Afghanistan. It was hot. And dusty. And there were a lot of spiders-I've seen an embarrassing amount of romantic comedies. And I didn't hate all of them. My favourite is Serendipity-I'm a bit of a sh*- I'm a nice guy, I can't do the whole badass thing very wellP.S. i never really got the whole sending ladies pictures of your junk thing. Apparently everyone is doing it. I guess that makes me old fashioned. Coffee. Or drinks at an awesome pub. Or the zoo. The zoo rocks.

***a famous preacher in the Great Awakening--wrote the partially paraphrased quote found in my profile headline.; he wrestled with the same fear of loneliness that strikes at the heart of Christian young adults today--including myself.I am a student of Church History at Queen's University in the Master of Theological Studies (MTS) program. As I do not get away from my major research essay too often, I thought I would try posting a profile on this site. My research involves studying ecstatic behaviour in the Great Awakening; however, since most people begin to roll their eyes when I talk about my research, I won't bore you with the details unless you message me personally. In my free time I tend to play Nintendo video games, read various manga and watch anime. Occasionally I enjoy writing poetry; however, I have not had much time to do this since starting school 7 years ago. My favorite physical activity is biking.I take God's call on my life to enter academia very seriously. It should therefore go without saying that I also take my Christian faith seriously. As such, do not bother messaging me for hook-ups or other sexually deviant behaviour. I would perhaps be interested in going out for coffee on a first date. Honestly, it is the second date that is usually the harder one to plan. I'm open to suggestions?
