In a sea (pun intended) of hook up requests and generic first messages, half of the battle on this site is just getting a woman to check out your profile... if you have made it this far, thank you... and I'll get right to it. I believe the best way to stand out on this site is to speak to the things I think really matter to women... I have spent a lot of time reviewing profiles and crafting clever first messages that I think are just sinking in a meetville inbox full of "Hey what's up" messages and solicitations for sexual favours. So I'll just quickly & honestly speak about some of the things I think matter to women, and if you like what you see/read, please consider messaging me.1) Character. If you think you want a nice guy with a sense of humour, it's probably worth it for you to give me a shot. That is definitely me. I am extremely loyal..... still... need I say more? I am an honest person and I am terrible at lying, so I simply don't do it. I have a goofy personal side of me that will say & do things just for a laugh, and I have a caring and understanding side of me who is great to have heart to hearts with late into the night.2) Looks. The images I included are pretty accurate. Some girls would find me attractive while others would just find me kind of average looking. I am tall, which is normally a plus... I am also pretty clean cut, so if you like a scruffy tattooed dude, I'm probably not your type. Physically, I'm pretty average although I do have some weight to loose. The good news? I have only been heading in the right direction since October ***, and have a new respect for my health, and appreciation of looking good which never mattered to me before. If we get to know each other, I will probably tell you how this came about.3) Health Values. As mentioned, I have a relatively new found appreciation for being healthy and I am working on improving my physical condition. I am by no means a type "A" and I don't enjoy working out, but I have found some ways to exercise that work for me. This includes exercising while watching late night comedy before bed, roller hockey & golf. I also enjoy walking, when it's with good company. Eating healthy is important to me, but I'm a recovering fast food junkie so every now and then I slip... Faturdays are not uncommon for me. I am constantly trying to find ways to incorporate healthy foods into my diet, in a way that still tastes good and is filling. I am a big fan of Subway. 4) Work. I am self employed, and I work a lot. This doesn’t leave me with a lot of time to divide among those I care about; however I do make time for everyone. My biggest goal in life is to be a successful entrepreneur, and I need a girl who can understand and respect that. While this can mean sacrificing quantity of time together, I do set my own schedule so working around your busy life is usually possible. I don’t care to be wealthy, but I want to live comfortably, knowing I can travel or take time off without destroying the budget. 5) Travel. While I am not yet well travelled, this is definitely on my to do list. How soon I will get to that list, there is no way to tell… however I am hoping it is sooner than later. I don’t intend to be like Carl from the movie Up, that was really sad lol. While I am obviously leaving some key things out, I figure it’s important to leave something to the imagination. If I have in any way sparked your curiosity or interest, drop me a line. I’m at an age where finding the real deal would be great, but honestly I would be just as happy with casual dating or friendship… I just want to meet someone new and interesting and see where it goes! My approach to this site I am still fairly new, so I'm trying to figure out what is best but here is my approach:1) If I have indicated I am interested in meeting you through the "Meet Me' feature, I have already reviewed your profile and decided I think you have a lot to offer. You should review my profile and if anything perks your interest, send me a quick hi how are ya. 2) I much prefer to meet someone sooner than later. I work on my computer a lot, so outside of working hours I prefer to disconnect from computer screens and cell phones whenever possible. I prefer to meet somewhere fairly casual (think pub or coffee shop) where things can be fairly relaxed and we can just worry about chatting and getting to know each other. If something is there, great. 2) Once we have met once or twice, I think that gives a pretty good idea if there is a mutual interest there... this is when I would prefer to go on a more traditional date. I also think by getting to know each other a bit first, it just gives me a better idea of the kind of date you might enjoy... one person might like an afternoon hike, another might like a traditional dinner & movie deal, and another might want to check out a concert... and honestly, I'm a pretty adaptable dude. This all makes sense to me as of right now... but it's not set in stone. If you are interested but hate the approach, just let me know lol.
