I love to write, and have several creative projects on the go, one of which is my full-time job. I also play acoustic guitar, which has become a bit of an obsession of late (I adore folk music). Oh, and I fancy myself as a bit of a woodsman, making hand-crafted furniture (which I've also done a fair bit of), or renovating old barns – speaking of which, my life goal is to buy a secluded old cottage atop some lonely mountain and fill it with animals (I’m a big animal lover) then live off the land – okay, so it's probably not that romantic in practice, but what the hell... I like getting my hands dirty. :)I originally hail from ‘up north’ (no, I don’t sound like an extra from Emmerdale) but I’ve been living and travelling overseas for several years, and part of me will always be a wanderer at heart. There are few things in life as fun as setting off on an adventure without knowing quite where you'll end up or who you'll meet along the way.A word of caution; I'm a very silly person, and try not to take life too seriously. My tongue is often firmly lodged in my cheek, and I do have a very dry sense of humour (if you don't like sarcasm then I'd probably drive you bonkers). Saying that, I can come across as the quiet type - but don't let that fool you, I sing in the shower and dance in my boxers just like everyone else (right?).I'm here to date, have fun meeting new people, and see where it leads. In terms of who I'm looking for, I'm very open minded, but an offbeat sense of humour, active imagination, and thirst for adventure wouldn't go amiss. I'm not necessarily in search of love, but if it should jump up and bite me on the a*** Because isn't that what we all want... really? A few drinks, some grub (optional), a walk in the rain, pulling silly faces at unsuspecting passers-by... the usual stuff.
