About Me

Heya. I've never really fancied the whole internet dating thing, or hitting on girls at 'the club' (or anywhere else for that matter), so Im not quite sure how to go about all this, but just out of a long ***year) relationship (was married, still a little healing left to do), and very much looking to connect with someone again. Hope that doesnt scare you off...I'll tell you about it if you want. I had difficulty deciding on a personality type as many of the ones listed apply to me, and I tend to exhibit contradictory personality traits...I am a nerd and love science (and sci-fi), but also enjoy playing sports (and watching hockey and soccer). I have a deep appreciation and love of art, and yet do bookkeeping for a day job. I have a passion for music (of nearly every kind); love playing drums/percussion, guitar, and producing various genres of electronic music as well, but could be just as content listening to university physics lectures, or going to a rave. I have a large network of friends and a huge family - both groups of which are very important to me. One of my best friends is my cat (dont worry, I have lots of human friends too, I just like my cat more than most people) who is very dear to me...he has a god complex, but happens to be very nice. I work ***and am trying to find a way to go part time and transition to freelance artist/other employable skills...until then I am CFO for a pretty cool company. My music tastes are deeeeeeep, diverse, and particular...the two most important traits to my taste in music are production quality and soul. My relationship expectations are pretty few, most importantly just to be treated with respect. Definitely a bit gun-shy of big commitments at present, so just looking to hang out, laugh, connect with and get to know someone new. Something fun where we can get to know each other a bit, that isnt cliche. Unless its bowling, because although it may be cliche, its still fun.

    I'd say I think of myself as a pretty nice, fun, and honest guy. I can definitely be a bit of a goof and enjoy cracking jokes and shooting the sh*t. I have good sense of humour and can just about always get a laugh out of any situation. When it comes down to it I really enjoy a meaningful conversation and the feeling of really being able to connect with someone. I really enjoy playing hockey (twice+ a week year round) and being active outside on a nice day over going to the gym. I love listening to most types of music, particularly country music and classic rock but as far as I'm concerned a good song is a good song regardless of genre. I also love going to concerts, I try and go to as many as possible. On my time off I enjoy being social and active and outdoors whenever possible. Things like a walk on the seawall then maybe find a good patio or sit at the beach or a hike up to a lake for a swim with some friends or going out boating for the day. Skiing and some good après in the winter. If I go out on a night on the town I'd usually prefer a bar over a club but I don't mind somewhere you can dance if I'm in the mood. I just hate yelling at someone to have them hear what I am saying and not being able to hear them. All that aside I have absolutely no problem with and really enjoy having a quiet time in with someone and just having some dinner and be lazy on the couch.Also I am not really interested in messaging back and forth for weeks on end. You can be anyone you want to be sitting behind a computer screen. Lets not waste each others time if you aren't open to the possibility of meeting eventually. Anywhere you can have a conversation. Something casual. Yes, I am looking for a relationship but I have no expectations when it comes to meeting someone for the first time.

    I'm glad I caught your eye;) I work hard because I like to have fun. Call me an adrenaline junkie but I love a thrill. From amusement parks to cliff diving I live for fun! Days are too short and I am too young to let them go by any faster so I live young wild and free to savor the most of each one.
