About Me

I have a Bachelors in Theatre. I haven't done much with theatre in a while, and would really love to get back into it. When I'm not working I'm usually hanging out with friends or family. When I'm not doing that I enjoy playing guitar or reading. The most recent book I've fallen absolutely in love with is Something Like Summer. Such an incredible book, but it completely raked me over the coals.I'm an avid concert goer. My favorite musical artist is Ani DiFranco (I've seen her too many times to count). Other than her, I'll honestly listen to just about anything except pop country. Love blues, jazz, and all the hippie crap from the 60s.I love corny jokes. The worse they are the better. I tell some of the biggest groaners. I like a first date to be somewhere where we can talk comfortably. It doesn't need to be dinner, just something chill where we could talk. Maybe get a coffee, or wander aimlessly through town chit-chatting.

    Well, hello! My mistress passed away last year, and I eventually found myself here, where I patiently, politely await a new, permanent home.--I do enjoy a good play session! I also enjoy being petted and having my delicate chin scratched. I warm up to new folks pretty quickly, but I'd probably do best with someone who's familiar with cats and can "read" me (I'm sweet, but may not appreciate overly boisterous little ones).     This is always a hard thing to do, talk about yourself that is.I want to share a little about myself, I recently returned to school, I am currently earning my Master's degree, but prior to that I taught at a Catholic elementary school for three years, and yes I did love it. The reason I came back to graduate school was to fulfill a curiosity I had within myself. I knew I would regret not pursuing a career in Student Affairs if I did not try. I can always return to teaching.I am a very laid back person, I get along with most anyone and try to respect each person for who they are and where they are at in their life.I think that if I were to describe myself, which I guess is what I am trying to do, I would have to say that I am always trying to help others around me grow, that is the profession I have chosen currently working in the Student Affairs field, and when I was an elementary school teacher. I myself am always trying to better myself and become a stronger person.I am a very family oriented person, who is always available to family, and friends too, if they ever need a helping hand. I also value the individuals in my life and am thankful for all they do for me.I am new to this whole thing, I have traditionally said I was "too busy" for a relationship, but I am willing to try any thing at least once. And I think that this is a time to try this opportunity. I am looking for anyone who is down to earth, friendly, kind-hearted, and genuinely a good person to share good times with as a friend or more.
