About Me

Well, what I can say about myself? Who actually likes writing these?! I am the oldest of three siblings, and an identical twin. I was raised Catholic, Catholic schools through highschool, definitely an eye opener when I came out. Helping people is a passion of mine. I feel that if I'm given all these great opportunities then I should pay it forward to those around me.In my free time I enjoy many hobbies. I love movies. When I was younger I dreamt of being a film critic, becuase who wouldn't want to get paid to watch movies everyday?!I really enjoy music, I can listen to almost all types of music. I just don't enjoy a lot of hardcore rap music. I enjoy traveling, haven't gotten to do much lately, and I've never been outside of the US, but I am planning on doing much more in the future.I also really enjoy sports. I grew up playing almost any sport offered; basketball, baseball, track, golf, football, volleyball. While I only play volleyball and run now, I enjoy going to sporting events and following my favorite teams.I'm a dog person, allergic to cats! Haha My ideal first date would honestly be as simple as getting drinks or coffee. Just the opportunity to get to talk and learn about the other person. Anything similar to that, where you aren't trying to talk over a crowd or loud music, would be best. I would also enjoy the classic "dinner and a movie" date. You pick the restaurant and I'll pick the movie, or vice versa. I like trying new things, surprise me. I'll do the same.

    When it comes to writing about myself I draw blanks! I'm currently in a relationship with my DVR...I get to watch my fav's on my own time. Tv is my guilty pleasure, but it doesn't rule my life. I work as a hairstylist. I enjoy going to the gym 3-5x a week. Going out for nice or casual meals/coffee/drinks. Music is my favorite thing in the world. All types!     Being in the military I was never really able to be myself, now with the appeal of DADT I can finally be the real me but I find it hard to break out and be fully open for fear that I will be "caught" it has been drilled in my mind for years and I want to find someone who will make me forget about all that and not care because I love that person.I'm a pretty easy going guy. I like a multitude of things and my interests vary... Basically if I like something or think it is interesting then I will be interested in it. That being said I love art I could spend hours in museums looking at the different forms and styles and never get bored. Music to be is a relaxing thing, it helps me stay positive and brings me out of darkness.I am in the PA national guard and my whole life really revolves around it, it is that one thing that truly defines me and makes me who I am. I plan on staying in until I am forced out and that hopefully will be a long time away.I am a huge homebody and family man. I live being with my family and having fun, we all are a little crazy so it makes for some really awesome times. I would love to find someone to bring with me to family functions and hope that they would enjoy the insanity that will ensue.I unfortunately live with my mom for financial reasons and I am not completely comfortable in bringing someone back. I am really close to being back on track and moving out but I do not want to rush the process and just end up in the same situation again. I have not gone on too many dates in my life so I really don't know what I would do. I like to consider mysf a romantic person but that is only truly after I have gotten to know someone and think that there is a possibility of it being long term. That being said... I would ideally do a dinner and a movie for a first date. Dinner would be their choice as to where to go and as far as the movie it could be in a movie theatre or at home on a couch. Very simple but a good way to really get to know someone.
