Let’s see, where to begin…?I'm a writer and grad student.I just had my third full length play published, and I’d love to say I live a lavish lifestyle off of the royalties, but that would be a lie. To pay the bills, I work as a freelance journalist.I'm currently a grad student working towards a masters of library and information science with a specialization in school library media.I also teach playwriting part time to high schoolers and direct school plays. I really love working with my students. The insanity of dealing with teenagers keeps me sane. If I could make a living working on school plays, I’d be the happiest guy in the world. I need to figure out how to make that happen. Here are 20 things you should know about me:1) I love sushi. I probably have mercury poisoning with the amount of raw fish I consume.2) I have a degree in elementary education and sociology with a minor in anthropology. I could talk for hours about the injustices of Latin American immigration and the misuse of physical education in US schools - and I will, for anyone who will listen.3) I fell in love with The Sound of Music when I was a toddler, and I enjoy listening to various cast recordings of the musical from all around the world. My favorite is the ***Dutch recording.4) The hair on my head used to be red, but in the past year has darkened considerably. This makes me feel like my identity has been stripped away.5) My favorite thing in the world is a school play.6) My biggest regret in high school is that I didn’t join the Step Team.7) I have been known to declare my love to celebrities (and chorus people) at stage doors.8) When I’m bored, I get into my car and drive around until I get lost just to see if I can find my way home. You’d be surprised at the amazing places I’ve discovered in the process.9) I’ve spent the past 20 years collecting my favorite childhood book series. I have about ***of the over ***titles, and I plan to hunt them all down. Any guesses as to which series it is?***Sometimes when I’m driving in my car, I pretend that I’m being interviewed by Oprah. Passersby must think I’m singing along to the radio, but really, I’m just telling Oprah about my rise to stardom.***My guilty pleasures include frozen yogurt, bubble tea, and origami.***Some things I could never do without are plaid shirts, a really hot shower, Lea Salonga, carbs, trampolines, and social networking.***I’m really good at remembering faces. Apparently, I have the strange ability to recall faces I have only seen in passing many years ago. People think I’m nuts. Oh, well.***I go through a one pound bag of pretzels every two or three days.***I’m short - very short.***I like to make people laugh. At least, I like trying to make people laugh.***You should hear me bust out a good showtune in the shower.*Teens. I’ll give any genre of music a fair shot, but I have a hard time distinguishing between songs if there are no lyrics.***I don’t watch much TV, but I tune into Degrassi and Big Brother when they’re on. If I want to kick it old school, I’ll watch The Torkelsons, Bug Juice, or Are You Afraid of the Dark. It broke my heart when Jon & Kate Plus 8 was cancelled.***Some of my favorite movies include High School Musical, El Norte, Precious, Norma Rae, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Parenthood. The list could go on and on.***My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird, which sounds cliché, but I don’t care. I also enjoy non-fiction, especially ethnographies.

Man. 29 years old. Zodiac sign: Pisces.
Looking for: man. In age: 26-36
Finishing schooling (end goal is a PhD in philosophy with a focus in bioethics), growing my businesses, and finding every possible way I can express myself creatively.I own and run a few small enterprises that generate a decent living and allow me to make money off of my endless reserves of creativity. I'll probably end up starting more than a few more before everything is said and done.I paint (oil and acrylic), I draw (mostly comic illustration and coloring), used to sculpt with metal (hopefully will again, soon), and I write (fiction and non-fiction, actually). I enjoy Bonsai, and gardening generally. I also have a passion for music. Not just listening to it, but making it and experiencing it. I can manage a guitar with some decency, and a violin with a little less.
