About Me

To begin with, I'm grateful for the life I've had so far. There have been some dreams come true and some absolute surprises, and I've valued it all. I'm not looking to change my life, but I would like to move forward from here as part of a partnership. Everything is better when it's shared with someone who will be as wide-eyed with wonder as you are with the greatness of it all. I love the outdoors and all it has to offer. I'm crazy about being on the water. I'm addicted to running. I'm entirely lacking in social media skills and still haven't quite figured out the ins and outs of ***'s nothing I wouldn't do for my eleven-year-old daughter, whom I've raised alone since the day she was born. (All of my adventures include her. She's been skillfully edited out of the photos - or she's taking them.) There was a time in my life when my entire music collection consisted of nothing but Tom Waits (I've since diversified.) I'm a crossword hound and I play a mean game of Scrabble. I've degrees in theology and forestry and can wield a pretty fierce chainsaw (but never in a destructive, non ecologically friendly manner!) *** This is cool: Pick any 3 digit number where no digit is repeated and the largest one comes first. (the order of the second 2 don't matter.) Now, reverse it and subtract the reversed number from the original number. (if you end up with 99, add a 0 to the front 'cause you need 3 digits.) Is the middle digit of your answer 9?? And do the first and last digits add up to 9?? Bet they do! Now, take your answer. Reverse it. Add the reversed number to the original answer number. Does it add up to ***?? Isn't that crazy??? Maybe I'm too easily impressed, but I love that! I'd really like to just get together and talk.     Well let's see... I'm laid back, love to laugh and easy to get along with. I like to cook, go to concerts, plays, movies, go for bike rides and travel. I enjoy watching sports, I like to play volleyball, also coach at the jr high level and have recently got back into biking...working on increasing my distance before the weather gets nasty!! And I also have an addiction to rollercoasters...the faster and higher the better. Maybe someday I will work up to jumping out of a plane?? As for what I am looking for on here...a companion of sorts...dating is good...relationship would be nice to grow into. A man whose family and friends are important. One who likes to go out and have a good time but is also good with staying in and relaxing. Easy going, hard working, compassionate, caring and intelligent. A man with a great sense of humor, who loves to laugh and has an easy smile. Profile pics of guys who aren't smiling trying to look...well I don't know what they are trying to acheive, make me wonder. Life is good...so smile!! To elaborate on the intelligece...a reasonable use of sentence structure, grammar, punctuation and spelling. :) hmmm Depends on the time of year and what kind of time restraint there is....     I am a down to earth person who loves to laugh and have a good time. By good time I mean do fun things not be the good time. My family is very limited now but what remains is very important to me. I love animals and to be outdoors, you may catch me walking my two dogs thru the neighborhood at night. Gardening (when I had my own home) was something I loved and took pride in. I am not a clean freak but my home is tidy and organized. My son is the most important thing in my life, I love him more than anything else in this world. I work full time and actually like it very much. I love to learn new things, it keeps your mind fresh. I love to laugh and often laugh at my own jokes. Some jokes may not be funny to others but since I know the meaning behind them I will laugh. If I have a few drinks I get very silly. I do not do drugs and really don't want it in my life. For a first date I would just like to meet for drinks and talk. Try to get to know someone without fighting the movie screen. Maybe play some pool or even cards. I am not high maintenance so pretty much anything social I would do. Simple things are the best for me.
