About Me

I like to go to the movies, read, go for long walks, jogging, gardening and much prefer yard work over house work. Yes - I mow my own lawn and love to plant a vegetable garden in the summer. I like things to be clean and picked up but having children has taught me to be relaxed about having everything perfect - I can live with a little clutter, but cannot go to bed with dirty dishes in the sink! It is such a great city to spend time outside. I would love to learn to dance, it looks like so much fun. But I kind of have two left feet, so I would need a patient teacher. I love what I do for a living and hope to find someone who also loves what they do. My glass is always half full and I don't take life too seriously. I like various types of music but I am not really crazy about Rap and "twangy" country. I am looking for a clean cut, funny, easy going, happy, financially secure, confident man who is looking for someone to share his life with. I love a clean shaven man, who isn't completely buff, but tries to eat right and work out some of the time. I am not into motorcycles or men who are into them. I don't mind watching sports, but prefer to be at the games (much more fun). I am not a big drinker and don't want someone who is. Don't get me wrong, I like a couple of drinks when we go out, but I am not interested in someone who drinks on a regular basis. I will eat just about any food, and some days I eat healthy, but other days not so much. I try to work out every day, but sometimes it just doesn't happen - LOLI am hoping to meet someone I can grow old with............ For a first (get to know each other date) coffee or drinks. For a first real date, a dressy dinner where we can eat a slow meal and gaze at each other over candlelight :)

    I love the idea of a Renaissance woman, and while I can't yet claim to be that, my goal in life is to learn about everything and, more importantly, how to do everything. After a few introductory niceties, you whisk me off towards a great little local restaurant run by a former celebrity chef where the entire menu, produce as well as livestock, is raised on a small plot of land behind the restaurant. We play and laugh with the free range chickens while we wait for our table to be prepared. Throughout dinner, we charm one another with our intellect and wit, sharing stories of past adventures and lifelong dreams. After dinner, you drive us by the beach, where we walk barefoot along the surf in the moonlight and happen upon a sea turtle nest where the hatchlings are just emerging. We marvel at the miracle of nature as the hatchlings make their way into the foamy waters, their fate unknown. The moonlight sparkles on the water, a pair of dolphins leap gracefully into the air. Our eyes meet. Without a single word being spoken, we exchange a devilish smile, strip down to our bathing suits (that apparently we were wearing under our clothes all evening), and dive into the warm waters. I had no idea you were a former olympic medal swimmer - you didn't include that in your profile! The local public radio station plays quietly on the car stereo as we each silently reflect on the evening and marvel at the connection between us. We're not certain when, but we will meet again.
