About Me

I saw this format in another person’s profile and liked it so … here goes:I am just meI like to laughI have an amazing 10 year-old daughter who makes me very proudI am a planner yet love to be spontaneous tooI love kissing and am a “touchy-feely” type personI am an accountant at a school ***years in the retirement system!)I love watching fireworksI believe in doing the right thing because it is the right thing to doI own my own homeI really enjoy watching college basketball, especially the Spartans (March Madness is my favorite time of year, too)I am a glass half full kind of personI love, Love, LOVE hugsI believe in karmaI am not interested in someone who needs to keep fishing on meetville even if we meet and start dating. You can't honestly get to know someone if you need to keep a dating website in your back pocket as a back-up plan (ok, I'm done venting, lol)I love the smell of sheets that were hung outside to dryI know the difference between their, there, and they’re (bonus points if you do too!) :)I enjoy campingI believe feelings are never wrong ~ they just are!I have been known to call meetville … Plenty O' FreaksI know how to agree to disagree and hope you do tooI think vacations should always be by waterI enjoy reading meaningful quotes and exploring quaint placesI like when someone makes me laugh so hard I get tears in my eyes and can barely catch my breathI would much rather go to a sporting event *** shoppingI like seeing an older couple that still holds handsI love sports banter, competition and fun bets (especially if you are a “go blue” fan)I think playfully wrestling with that special someone is awesome (and kinda hot … did I really just type that? lol)I use a push mower to cut the grass (note to self: need to buy a self-propelled one)I understood just how good a beer tastes after I cut the grass for the first timeI enjoy the feeling of walking barefoot along a shorelineI admit it … I eat Lucky Charms cerealI don’t have drama with my exI watch the Super Bowl for the game not the commercialsI really enjoy thunderstorms and falling asleep to the sound of rainI prefer taking a walk with someone vs. going to dinner when meeting someone newI would rather be “on the go” and am not a couch potatoI think “The Notebook” is the greatest love storyI am not jaded from my past and still believe in happily ever afterI have never been to a Tigers game but it’s on my bucket list – wanna go?I think trust and communication are absolutely vital in a relationshipI am 5’8” … without heelsI believe distance isn't a deal-breaker if you are with the right personI am not looking for a casual relationship or someone to hook up withI think astrology is interesting but don’t base my life on itI was raised Catholic but question many things now as an adultI often give a hug to say “hello” or “goodbye” (did I mention I love hugs?)I tend not to have regrets in life … you can’t change the past, right?I believe communication involves talking AND listeningI am not a jealous type personI enjoy walking outside in the summer but I use my treadmill during the winter monthsI would pick the number 13 if I had to choose a number between 10 and 20I like to be sassy & playful and tend to have a sarcastic sense of humorI can’t golf to save my soul but still enjoy it … I even have my own clubsI tend not to trust someone who cannot make eye contactI love “chicken/bacon/ranch” pizza … it’s my faveI like all different types of music, but haven’t found a love for rap, jazz or classicalI believe no one is perfect … I’m just looking for that imperfect person who is perfect for meI want a best friend, a partner in crime and a soul mate all rolled into oneI am not really into the “meet me” feature and prefer to receive a messageI think that’s enough random facts about me so … tag, you’re it :) Deciding what to do on a first date really depends on the person and what we both would like to do. I think an ideal "meet-n-greet" is interactive, like meeting at a park & going for a walk or going to play miniature golf, *** going to dinner with someone you've never met before. But in all reality, it isn't so much about WHAT you do, but rather WHO you do it with. I am sure we can figure out something that sounds great to both of us!

I am an ordinary person, like all of us. And for my man I will be a special one: kind, gentle, romantic, caring, etc. I am a family-oriented woman with a warm heart, you will see it. What else can I tell about myself? Let's start our communication, meet and you will see yourself

I love the idea of a Renaissance woman, and while I can't yet claim to be that, my goal in life is to learn about everything and, more importantly, how to do everything. So over time I've gained a few useful skills - give me a call if you need your roof fixed, a window replaced, a leaky faucet repaired, or a wall moved. I like projects (and power tools!). And have a heated discussion on the way home about whether string theory really does fit in to the explanation of how the universe began. Alas, my portfolio of interests is not yet complete; it's a big world out there to learn about and experience. Let's see... On our first date, you'll pick me up in your late model Ferrari that you personally converted to full electric and charged on your 10 megawatt solar panel array before you left home. Since you already have a deep understanding of my personality from reading my profile, you know to show up exactly 7 minutes late while I flutter around trying to decide which earrings will properly reflect my unique balance of deep intellectualism and runway model fashion sense. After a few introductory niceties, you whisk me off towards a great little local restaurant run by a former celebrity chef where the entire menu, produce as well as livestock, is raised on a small plot of land behind the restaurant. We play and laugh with the free range chickens while we wait for our table to be prepared. Throughout dinner, we charm one another with our intellect and wit, sharing stories of past adventures and lifelong dreams. After dinner, you drive us by the beach, where we walk barefoot along the surf in the moonlight and happen upon a sea turtle nest where the hatchlings are just emerging. We marvel at the miracle of nature as the hatchlings make their way into the foamy waters, their fate unknown. The moonlight sparkles on the water, a pair of dolphins leap gracefully into the air. Our eyes meet. Without a single word being spoken, we exchange a devilish smile, strip down to our bathing suits (that apparently we were wearing under our clothes all evening), and dive into the warm waters. I had no idea you were a former olympic medal swimmer - you didn't include that in your profile! The local public radio station plays quietly on the car stereo as we each silently reflect on the evening and marvel at the connection between us. We're not certain when, but we will meet again.
