About Me

I'm 50 years old, have two grown sons have children of their own and I was divorced 22 years ago. I have had long term relationships between then and now and I believe those situations were learning experiences for me to figure out who I am and what I need in my life from a significant other. I would love to be married again someday to someone who "gets me" I want a man in my life who I can grow with emotionally, mentally, physically, but I have also learned I don't necessarily "need" a man in my life. I'm a confident, Independent woman and have accomplished a lot on my own. Now I would like to accomplish things with someone by my side, share the journey, the trials the good times, the memories. I'm honest to a fault and expect the people in my life to be as well. "Doubts are more cruel than the worst of truths" If those in my life can't be honest - or live their life thru lies and dishonesty, they have no place in my life. Be real, genuine, honest and have integrity and we will get a long famously. I'm looking for a man who is secure and independent, yet knows how to be interdependent. I'm not controlling and don't want to be controlled. I don't play games and won't play yours. I love sports! I'm not one of those women who will go shopping when the guys are watching the big game, I'll be right there in the middle with a beer in hand swapping stats with the rest of you. I love to laugh, a good sense of humor goes a long way. My friends would describe me as loyal, trustworthy, honest, goofy, smart, and fun to be around. I love to dance, it's a great way to lose yourself and let go of stress and anxiety. I can also be a homebody, I love to entertain at home, cook a good meal and watch the game, a good movie or just socialize. I would love to travel more, see some things I haven't seen, yet I want to share that with someone. I tend to prefer men who are fit and take care of themselves physically. Fitness is a big deal in my life. Though I do watch what I eat for the most part, I love food and part of the reason I work out is so that I can enjoy food. I don't smoke or do drugs and I am not interested in being around anyone who does. Money doesn't control me in the sense that what a man makes is important, I have been dirt poor and independently wealthy and I realize that my happiness isn't a result of how much money is in the bank. Obviously it's better to have a little, but its a bonus, not a precursor.Ultimately my motto's are simple: Be good to me because I will always be good to you, respect goes both ways, as does giving, loving and sharing. Be kind,faithful and considerate. Live your life with integrity. I strive to do and be all those things, I'm a work in progress, I'm not perfect and don't expect perfection, it doesn't exist. Communication is a must.. without it, what's the point. if you are not serious about finding someone to spend time with = get to know and have a possible relationship- don't waste my time and yours.. I'm not looking for a friend with benefits, a booty call or a companion to do things with.. I want to build a relationship with someone long term.
