I enjoy walks and reading and art/music and bonfires & other activities, watching UFC, I prefer movies like action-filled, mystery, psychological thrillers, some syfy,comedies, documentaries/true life--. Romantic comedies/horror movies are usually cheesy, so rarely watch them. Since my daughter is older now I decided to work on my education and obtain my bachelor's degree and then see where that leads me, I want to travel at some point, I enjoy artistic beauty of any kind-from sunrises/sets to paint on canvas , I will write a book someday, would like to try skydiving-even though I'd be freaked out. lolI enjoy heavy metal and hard rock, but also enjoy classic ***'s) rock, old school R & B, old pop, *** I enjoy a variety of music, country rock ok. I like drawing on my spare time. Learning to challenge myself more in all arenas--looking forward to where that takes me.I am initially shy but then I warm up when comfortable, I have a wicked cool personality once you get to know me. BTW THE GUY IN THE PIC IS MY BROTHER! (LOL) Family and friends are important part of my life. I like to try new things, I'm direct but I have a good sense of humor and I like intelligent conversations, would appreciate a down to earth man who enjoys romance and knows how to treat a lady...     I'm, wondering if there is really such a thing as an equal..... I would like to find an open, honest, emotionally available,stable man (who I find attractive) to share my life with. The problem is that I am very picky and I have high standards. This is can be tricky because it's difficult to describe "what" or "who" I'm looking for. But I will know it when I see it.:) None of us are perfect but if you are interested in a relationship where we can celebrate the good and work together through the rough then we are thinking on the same level.I don’t really believe in soul mates but I want a relationship where 2 people come together as equals and form something greater than the sum of its parts.I've decided to with hold some information, because these things can get too long and boring. This I will share , I take care of myself by maitaining a healthy diet, work out 4+ days a week ,enjoy Bikram Yoga, music(mostly rock), running in the rain, easy Sunday mornings, finding that cold spot in the sheets and laughing until it hurts. I love my life, my family, love my work and consider myself lucky to have amazing supportive friends. BTW Guys, I have to wonder what is with all the photo's of fishing, sunglass wearing and baseball caps?? Not my favorite when seeking a date... wondering if I would only be taken on fishing trips and what are you hiding under that cap and behind those dark sunglasses.. Boating, not a favorite either.... love the water but I get motion sickness in small boats so if you're looking for a second mate keep looking because you won't find it here., .     This whole online "dating" thing is a little crazy and scary for me! But I am looking for an adventure and am ready to dive in head first! I enjoy exploring the city, being lazy on a Sunday afternoon, either dining out with friends or having friends over to cook for, going on long walks, hot yoga and so much more. I have a great life, two wonderful children ages 21 & 22, and a fantastic job. All that is missing is someone to go on an adventure with. Everything about it! Love exploring the city and finding new places to eat. Love attending concerts and events that the city offers! I am a HUGE sports fan! If I don't make it to a game, friends know that my house is the place to come watch and cheer on our team! I love to laugh, am told often that I can be very sarcastic, I enjoying doing things for others and sometimes forget that it's okay to be a little selfish. I love to read and relax at home on a Sunday afternoon but throughout the week you can usually find me somewhere for Happy Hour! I enjoy going for walks and have been doing Hot Yoga for about 6 months now and love it! Now that the kids are grown and on their "own" I want to finally take time out for me. I would love to meet someone who has a love of life, someone who works hard too but knows when to put work away and enjoy life. I want someone to explore the local wineries with and show me why everyone seems to like red wine so much!), to take to a concert (I love live music!) or to try a new restaurant with.     I live a full life and I am grateful for it. While I am competent and independent, I also know that I would enjoy sharing my life with someone. It would be nice to participate in each other's interests, find common ones, or at least cheer each other on from the sidelines. Here are some things that interest me. For one, I changed careers about 5 years ago and became a math teacher. I'm now working towards my master's in math so that I can teach at the community college level. I love my job and my students tell me that they appreciate my style of teaching. It's very rewarding to see someone "get it" after struggling in the past. Although I consider myself to be pretty hip, that's my geeky side!Second, I attend my fair share of concerts and like discovering new music. Here's a taste of what I've seen lately: Civil Wars at the Berklee Performance Center, The Black Keys at the Garden, Meiko at TT the Bear's and Gotye at House of Blues. It's fun sharing a passion for music and listening to great stuff.Third, I like to stay in shape. For a while, I was a runner exclusively. Now, I have more variety in my fitness routine. If I can get in two runs and three classes (spin, yoga, weights) a week, I'm happy. Sometimes life gets in the way, and that's okay, too. After belonging to the Y for years, I'm finally making good use of my membership!My friends would call me considerate, compassionate, and caring. I come across as gracious and calm, but I do have a spunky side. I'm also quite stylish, think a cross between boutique and consignment. In fact, that is a good description of me in general.I have two kids who make me very proud to be their mom. They are at great ages ***and ***independent, but still like to hang out with me. Being involved in their interests is a priority for me... I love being both a soccer mom and a dance mom. I have a pretty consistent parenting schedule, so that when my kids are with me, I can concentrate on them; but when they are at their dad's, I have time for me (and my partner).I'm looking for someone who is kind & attentive, attractive & athletic, intelligent & down-to-earth, and who (like me) has a certain joie de vivre.
