About Me

I'm generally a happy person and feel very grateful for all the blessings in my life, but still looking for the blessing of a good man...I try to appreciate or at least learn from everything life serves up (the bad as well as the good). I am interested in many things, including all sorts of music, yoga, good wine & food, sailing, hiking, reading, museums, beaches, traveling, discussing philosophy/spirituality and I'm always open to new experiences. I have, and appreciate in others, a good sense of humor, an out-of-the-box way of thinking, the ability to have an interesting conversation, a strong sense of integrity and honesty, a certain amount of annoyance with superficiality and people who don't think for themselves. I'm looking for a solid partnership - someone who'll support my growth as a person and let me support theirs. I have a tendency to think too much, so someone who's occasionally silly is probably good for me. Fun is important, as is lots of passion and physical chemistry.I tend to be most attracted to men who are intelligent, confident and well spoken. My ideal match should be similar enough to me so that we can communicate but not so similar that there's no 'fire.' I like a little bit of sparring every now and then, a little bit of wickedness. At the same time, (cliche alert!) we should be able to sit back by the fire on an autumn day and read the Times together pleasantly, too. It's really a matter of balance. Someone who likes to sail would be great. I prefer guys who aren't of small build (and no I'm not referring to THAT), I just like a guy that I feel like a little woman next to, somebody huggable and with whom I can roughhouse every now and then. No atheists/agnostics, please. A first date should be somewhere we can talk (without having to shout) and get to know each other a bit.
