Ready? Here goes. If there's such a thing as a level-headed daydreamer, I'm pretty close. I'm a newspaper editor, an inventor's daughter, and most likely a hopeless music geek.I'm creative, but I can also do logical(my family is a mix of artists and science-y types). I usually hit it off with people who have some sort of creative streak, but that can take all sorts of forms.I notice there are a lot of people from around the GTA and the province on this site, so I should probably say that while I wouldn’t only date someone who lives downtown, I do think we’re more likely to be a match if we’re drawn to (and spend time in) the same neighbourhoods - in my case, that’- That kind of thing.Hmmm... what else? I’ll try to describe some of the things I like.First off, I’m a bit of a bookworm. In fact, it's hard to know where to start with the books - I always seem to have far too many of them. For non- (I always take him back, though.) I'm a recent Neil Gaiman convert and have been going through the Sandman series. The best books I read in ***were Cloud Atlas, Alif the Unseen and Everything is Illuminated.I don't watch much TV, but I loved Arrested Development and am pretty happy they're bringing it back. I do have a (girly, I know) taste for costume dramas, though I won't make you watch any unless you're very bad. If you're watching one of his movies in a theatre and you hear someone laughing harder than everyone else, that might be me.My taste in music leans toward indie/rock/electronic but I'm open to music of all kinds and am always looking for people to suggest new things for me to listen to. I wish I could get Grooveshark on my phone. I think Shazam is completely brilliant and I would really like someone to explain how they make it work. I used to see a lot of live music, until my hearing kind of went for a while(that's partly Bob Mould's fault) but it's completely fine now and I'd like to see more live music again. My current musical faves include Songza’s Sunburnt Synths playlist and a DJ/producer called Pretty Lights. In terms of sports, I like running but I’ve had a long-standing battle with shinsplints, so it’s just easier if I run by myself. I love swimming, and some day I hope to swim as fast as all the giant tattooed triathlete guys who go to the same pool I do. I would honestly love to cycle, but I know so many cyclists who’ve been in accidents that I will admit to being a bit scared of biking in the city. But you know, you could always try convincing me to be braver about it...I definitely don’t like talking about myself quite this much!I’m looking for someone who’s fun and/or good company, affectionate, frisky, able to broaden my horizons in some way or other, and ... I don’t know... kind to animals.
