About Me

All About Me.....mmmmmmmmm.......well, first and foremost, I am a Mom and I believe a pretty good one, too. My kids mean everything to me as does my family with whom I am very close. I don't know that I am truly unique, but I feel I make those around me feel comfortable because of my sense of humor and the fact that I am a good listener. I have a lot of friends but am really close to a handful who have been there for me through thick and thin.I've been an educator for 28 years and I love my job. Working with special education students is challenging yet rewarding at the same time. My goal is retire in 3 years and work with student teachers at the university level. I LOVE to travel and want to travel cross country here in the U.S. as well as Europe. I love the islands too! Sipping a pina colada on the beach is heaven to me! Music is a huge part of me and many times has been my therapy through the rough times! I love to dance, too, especially the slow kind! :))All in all, I feel I am great person who has a lot to offer to a relationship. I am family oriented, outgoing, honest, and passionate...... I love to laugh and make others laugh too! What a great feeling! Although I can be a planner (guess that's the Mom and teacher in me!) I can be very spontaneous, too. When in a relationship, I do try to make it a priority as I would want the same in return. Call me old-fashioned, but I love a man who opens doors, walks on the street side of the sidewalk, and calls or texts throughout the day just because....... When I am in a relationship, I am very affectionate (I love holding hands and long tender kisses!), and love to share those little intimate moments or even funny inside jokes that only my partner and I share. First Date? I think it depends on the time of year/weather. If it's cold, a nice dinner at a restaurant with great ambience is always a good start. Then to a nightclub or lounge to listen to a live band or something to that effect. Warm weather? BASEBALL!! I love seeing my favorite sport live with good company and a cold beer! (LOL!). ( I love football, too though!)I know that first dates can be nerve-wracking so doing something fun helps to break the ice a bit.

    I'm looking for friendship first as that is what makes a strong relationship. With that friendship has to be an attraction which follows with a connection that only one will know by meeting the other in person. Not being mean but either you feel that connection or you don't. If one of those things missing it won't work long term. Looking for a longterm relationship but not sure about the whole marriage thing again. Only time will tell not saying I would or would not at this point.I have been blessed with two beautiful daughters on in college who is 19 and the other is 24 and married who has given me a wonderful grandson who is totally awesome. We are very close both of them either text, call or do both on a daily basis. One is in WV and the other in PA so I do travel. I enjoy spending time with friends & family. I Love my job and that is what keeps me in MD. I feel that I'm a very loving, caring and understanding person. Very confident about myself and my life at this point. I know what I'm looking for and don't plans to settle for anything less. Love the new country music not the twangy stuff, 80's, Blues and Jazz. Dancing is always fun. I enjoy water either at the beach or a lake. Skiing, hiking, bicycling, and riding motor cycles is another favorite of mine. Cooking is also something I enjoy and would be nice to find someone who would like to participate in my kitchen while sipping on a glass of wine!!! I enjoy laughing think that's good for the spirit and lots of smiles at the little things in life. I can be spontaneous, flirty, playful and have a wild side at times.I enjoy holding hands, being held tight and passionate kissing. Enjoy those quite nights just the two of us at home cuddling on the coach or enjoying the candles and wine while listening to music. Always open for suggestions!Drinks or a Coffee is always a good start. If we would feel like dinner we could always proceed with that.
