Hi there! Where to start? Well, I am in my late forties (time does fly...) although I don't feel a day over... 37. I am down-to-earth, generally easygoing - I try not to sweat the small stuff - and easy to get along with. I have two excellent teenagers (knock on wood!), a boy 17 and a girl 15, of whom I am immensely proud. They live with me part- (She is 6, in case you are wondering.) I like sports (especially rollerblading in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter, and I love walks in all seasons; getting serious about kayaking is on my to-do list). I love food, cooking and eating out. I like trying restaurants (new or new to me) on both sides of the river. I really enjoy the outdoors, without being a nature lover. (I will take a cottage with running water and electricity over camping in a tent any day.) I enjoy music and good wine and love travelling, especially if there's a body of water nearby. I am feminine but not a girlie girl. My style is casual but I can dress up for the occasion. I have a generally positive outlook on life and don't dwell in the negative. I pam appreciative of, and content with, my life.- more like a partner-in-crime. You?...are an honest, respectful and compassionate human being, ideally bilingual; are into sports without being obsessed; have a wide range of interests, some or many of which match mine; have a good sense of humour and don't take yourself seriously, without necessarily being the life of the party; You have learned from your past but are not weighed down by it. I don't like sitting in front of a computer and chat so I typically *** requests. Nothing personal... I also don't respond to one- or two-word messages. Again, nothing personal. I could say go on an air balloon ride but I believe in keeping it simple on a first date. While not too original, I think coffee is a good first step.

    I like traveling and visiting new places. I like nature, like to hike and explore , etc. I not a major camper but do enjoy being outdoors. I love going to the movies, out to eat, and good conversation. I like to meet new people and consider myself a people person. People watching can be fun too. I am patriotic but not real political. I enjoy athletic events spectating and participating in some. I really like walking outdoors and staying fit. I am a small town girl with values. I live in the country where it is quiet and enjoy that, but I did enjoy living in a big city too. My children and family are very important to my life. Volunteering is something I enjoy and I love helping people, surprising them, etc. I like to read, cook, play board games, learn new things and explore, and listen to music(most kinds). I like computers but are not the best at working on them. I am learning though. I love to travel but have not gotten to do a lot of that lately. I work more than one job so do not have lots of time but I like to stay busy. I love the elderly and work with them for my part time job . I work for the local Area Department of Aging teaching them exercise classes and getting people to volunteer for them. I do a lot of public speaking too. I am also a teacher for my full time job, so it is good that I love kids! I work with middle school students mainly teaching English and Math. IBesides loving other people's children, I have two wonderful sons, ages 16 and 24, of my own. Both sons have always been busy and active too. I do not have much time left of being taxi mom and sports/activities mom. I am finding myself with more time for socializing than I used to have. Though it is one of the toughest jobs that I know of , I love being a mom. I enjoy making new friends and dating. I would definitely be interested in a long term relationship with the right person. You can ask me anything, and I will be honest.. I feel that is necessary in any good relationship. I am also trustworthy, compassionate, loving, giving, caring, and good-hearted. Laughing and talking together to get to know someone is important. I believe that having a good sense of humor and being able to laugh at oneself is important too. I believe there needs to be some spark or chemistry for things to develop beyond a friendship. The physical attraction has to be there as well. Beauty is on the inside and the outside both, and what is beautiful to one is not necessarily beautiful to another. I am up for just about anything but I think that someplace loud is not the best for the initial meeting unless you plan for someplace quiet later in the date. I have had a lot of fun activity dates too. Just warn me what to wear. LOL
