I'm in no hurry for a relationship and would like to start as friends. I prefer things to progress naturally and with a good foundation. That being said, I'm an easy going, down to earth and non materialistic person. I value integrity, sincerity and good communication. For fun I like to get out and try new things or attend local events and festivals. In order to get my fix of the great outdoors (and yard work!) I volunteer some of my time at an area nature center. Relaxing at home with a movie or having a bonfire with friends are also favorites of mine.I try to exercise three times a week but I don't always succeed. It's a work in progress. I also eat fairly healthy for the most part, but do enjoy pizza, ice cream and cold beer. One of my favorite shows is The Walking Dead. I'm not a big fan of chick flicks but I'll watch them occasionally. I prefer action, suspense, or something that makes you think.I appreciate most music and can probably find something i like in any genre ... Not so much into country or rap though. So that's a little about me :-) and if you're interested in building a friendship that may evolve into something more, send me a message. I think it's nice to keep the first date simple. Maybe meet for coffee someplace where we can talk and see how things go.

Hola! Here's me in a nutshell; Funny, bright (usually!), from a big family, loves kids, Irish, never married (just haven't met the right guy yet, I guess?), work-aholic, but trying to improve. Looking to meet down-to-earth good guy who lives in the Twin Cities area (that's Twin Cities, guys). Profiles with pictures ONLY...fair is fair, right?? No picture, no fair &...sorry :(The internet dating thing is like shooting fish in a barrel...anyone who tells you differently is wrong....wouldn't you agree? It's like trying to find that job that "fits" or the right car, house, etc. only much more complex. Let's face it, we all have some "baggage" in our lives no matter where we come from, what relationships we've had, etc., etc., etc.. I think the challenge is to not let that baggage get in the way of meeting new people & maybe making new friends or more along the way. I'm a work-in-progress, myself. I am a lapsed Catholic, but am Christian and fairly spiritual. Finding the same thing in another is important to me - not necessarily the Catholic part, but the rest of it. I'm reasonably smart (I hope, anyway), though constantly have to work at keeping up with local & national politics, which I don't care much about. I am a Liberal - this will probably not change, so I want to put that out there from the get-go...LOL!I'm currently working on smart-ass, yet clever, answers to the question I get ALL the time...."WHY are you still single????" Or better yet, "Why haven't you ever married??". I'm hoping to make a top-ten list, so any good ones you have are most welcome!! Let me know if you'd like to chat further! Betty's Mom First meeting date or first DATE date? First meeting is the requisite coffee/drink meeting and then we see if we want to meet again, if that's cool with you?

Born and raised cheese head. My daughter is away at college, and it's just me and my dog at home now. So I figured its time to get back out there! I'm pretty easy going, a good listener, understanding, and have a great sense of humor. I enjoy getting out of the house, but am also happy with just a night in, watching movies. I also like country music and spending time with friends and family.Ideally I'd like to meet someone with a good sense of humor, someone I can joke around with. Someone who's caring, honest, and easy going. Someone who loves dogs and has strong family values. Somewhere casual to meet and greet. Then we can see where things go from there.
