Fortunate enough to have a job I love, and in this day and age that is nothing to take for granted! I am a professor of history at a local community college, and I learn new things about the world and about myself every day. Love my home and my pets***dogs who are entertaining and well-behaved. I am almost over the culture shock .Love to travel, both in the US and abroad. And I love to bicycle--long and short distances. Camp and hike every opportunity I get. When I'm not out enjoying nature, you can find me on the couch reading and enjoying my wood burning stove in the winter, or in my hammock after gardening in the summer. Optimistic by nature, I'm looking for someone equally optimistic, active, curious, and well-read to enjoy life together.
