Other interests involve book reading, and watching movies, learning new things. Love documentaries. (yep, i'm the weird kid in class that actually paid attention to "a peoples history" ) I was doing prokick for years and I absolutely miss it, been doing martial arts for over 10 yrs. Can't seem to find anything else as enjoyable, not doing too much right now. (a little yoga, basic gym stuff).I have a good job, a wonderful son. Lots of friends who care about me, as I do them. I enjoy sharing good times with the people I love, BBQs, wine on a patio, ufc at a pub, traveling, going out dancing, laughing, - just enjoying life and meeting people.Life is good... However, I'm missing something very important. I'm missing a partner, a best friend. Someone to dream with, to live life with. I am 48, smart, educated (the previous two are not necessarily the same thing in my experience ;-) curious, healthy and into travel, walking, good conversation, cooking and baking, good movies, and my family.; like art and design and good cinematography. I have been around the world a few times and I know who and what I am... I would like to meet someone who is similar in that regard.I am a very positive, upbeat, and optimistic person and have a difficult time with people who are perennially cranky or whiny. Life's too short!. I read a lot; I enjoy interesting ideas and and interesting, articulate people. I am very committed to health and fitness, though I am not a gym-head or hard-body type nor ever will be and don't tend to be very attracted to men who are more interested in their physique than their minds.I have an 11-year-old at home of whom I have sole physical custody, though her dad does get visitation. If you are in a similar situation, you're more likely to understand the rewards and limitations a situation like this places on you, though if you're open-minded and patient, so will I be. I'm a little sarcastic but very kind in general .. though I'm a little on the shy side, I tend to get along very well with others and have a few close friends. I am not attracted to barflies, selfish, lazy, mean, or clingy people. A walk where we have an opportunity to talk and get to know one another, or dinner in a quiet place with a bit of privacy.
