About me...? Well, "What you see is what you get" is what those in the know would say in answer to that question. And that would be very true. I'm just authentically me. No games. No drama. No hidden agenda. No negativity... All of which seem to be everyone's concern today, mine included. Just a happy, fun-loving, grateful and compassionate person who tries to encourage the same in the people around me. My life so far, has taken me to some of the highest highs and some of the lowest lows, making it very easy to know what gives life meaning and depth, which, despite what many think, is not the latest gadget from Apple or Microsoft...cool as they may be.; a tent under a million stars or a 5-star hotel; taking a spa day or cheering at a Sens game; out in a crowd or at home snuggling with you on the couch. Wearing a little black dress and killer heels, a business suit and conservative pumps, jeans and work boots, tights and runners - depending upon what environment people meet me in, they tend to put me in a box. But these are all me. I really can't think of very many things that I don't like to do (or at least wouldn't try). I'm genuinely happy to be anywhere and will have a good time while I'm there. It may be cliche to say, but it truly is who you're with and your own personal attitude that matter. With those two things in check, the produce section at the grocery store can be the most romantic place on earth. You're pretty much as happy as you decide you're going to be, I think.I'm often told by people that they feel good just being around me, or that they feel better about a particular problem that they've got after having talked to me about it. I think that's such a great compliment! I care an awful lot about everyone and everything, I work hard, I laugh harder and I love harder than that. And, I'd like to share all of those "me's" I mentioned above with someone. Someone who will also just be themselves. I'll meet you where you are in life and we'll figure it out from there. As for you...well, I don't have a cookie cutter recipe for what I'm looking for...I've never been the girl with the checklist. I only know how I want to feel when I'm with you...and I can't describe that either. In fact, I think that to try and put it into words would diminish it somehow. I'll just know it when I feel it. I can tell you that I'm at a really good place in my life and don't come from a place of 'need', but one of 'want' of a relationship, with someone that adds to my life and me to theirs. I can also tell you that, of course, I want a person with integrity...dishonesty in all its forms is a deal breaker for me. Isn't it for everyone? (However, like all women, telling me my butt doesn't look big in my jeans is okay. :) But don't worry, I'll never put you in that position by asking the question in the first place.) I'm looking for someone who's emotionally generous, loves to both give and receive affection, is kind to others and understands that being happy is much better than being right. And they should have, or at least enjoy, a good sense of humor, as I love to laugh. I hope to make them laugh too. I'm an awfully simple girl really.....maybe not bacon - Ouch!), if plans get ruined, be spontaneous with me *** sulking, always opt for the ugly truth over a pretty lie, be kind, be tender, be grateful, accept those things in return...and I'm yours.This is such a huge leap of faith for me and certainly out of my comfort zone. But, life shrinks or expands in proportion to your courage, so proportionately, I look forward to seeing where this takes me. Life really is so short and I want to do the best I can while I'm here.Oh...and one last thing: If you've read all the way to this sentence, thanks for sticking with me! :) I don't think that there's a perfect first date...the two people involved is what makes it "perfect". That said, the point of a first date, to me anyway, is to see what, if anything, lies between us to warrant a second one. And so, meeting each other for the first time in a quieter place that lets us talk and get to know each other better to figure that out is always a great thing...a walk along the canal; a glass of wine at a quiet bar; dinner at a small restaurant...you get the picture. Having said all of this, I'm a very laid back chick, and so if you suggest bowling, or horseback riding, or a Sens game, or....I'm probably game. Let's decide together and also decide that no matter how it turns out, it'll be time well spent.

Don't wanna do the bar thing, looking for someone serious about a relationship. I work a lot. My kids mean everything. I'm a small woman not quite 5' not fat but not thin, about 135. I don't wear make-up much but don't mind getting cleaned up. Actually clean up good :) like to be outside every chance I get. Keep a clean home and have a full-time plushours job.
