A few years ago, I decided to pursue a long-time dream of nursing school. After pre-requisites, night classes, clinical rotations on the weekends, and a board exam, I am excited to begin working as an oncology nurse. My career path has afforded me a unique perspective. My patients have taught me how to appreciate the little things. Bike rides past wild flowers. The way that butter melts into the crevices of a hot English muffin. A beautiful sunset. They've reminded me to leap. And to take big bites. Some days I'm better at these things than others. I'm a "J" on the Myers-..I hike, work in my yard and on my house, spend time with my dog (an ***year old yellow lab I rescued almost four years ago), haunt the farmers' markets, and hostess dinner parties. And I want to read and write more now that I'm done with school. I'm also constantly trying to perfect my grandma's biscotti recipe; cinnamon pecan is the most recent flavor added to my repertoire. I recently finished a kitchen/laundry remodel - incredibly traumatic! - so cooking, baking and hostessing are becoming a lot more fun. Life is better with a dishwasher.You? You're a guy who's happily busy but happy to share time with someone. You follow up with conversation and not a text message. And you spend regular time outdoors. You put your hand on the small of my back when we're navigating a crowded room, and you walk me to my car when we part ways at night. You'd really win me over if you scraped my windshield on snowy mornings (especially since I don't have a garage!). You challenge me intellectually; our conversations fill my cup. We can agree to disagree, and we learn and grow as a result of knowing each other. You understand my imperfections, and you accept me in spite of them. Hi there!! I hope the pond has been treating you well :) Another fabulous fall is upon us, my favorite season, bring on the snuggles!! ;) lol take the time to enjoy!Ok here I go...about me...as described by friends "kind, passionate about life and the people in it, generous, thoughtful, sensitive if you get to know her"...there is one there if you look..sure sh*t happens, but it often makes us stronger and we might actually learn a lesson or two from it. So what makes me tick.. enjoy cooking and eating, always best when shared with someone special.....there is something to be said about a man comfortable in the kitchen....nice very nice ;), sharing time and experiences with someone who shares similar thoughts and ideas. No fear in doing my own thing, but so much better when enjoyed by two. I enjoy checking out something new. Love being outdoors playing team sports, camping (yes...with a tent) or sitting around a campfire with friends sharing a cool beverage. I also love to visit new areas checking out local wares and treasures and fortunately just as comfortable in the formal arena ....what a joy to be able to enjoy the variety life brings!Keeping active is important...so I can enjoy great food and beverages when the mood strikes ;) Love team sports..the days of competitive sports have grown into quality times enjoying sports with good friends...a great game is always best reviewed over a cold beverage afterwards. I have recently joined the local gym and pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy it going at least 3x/week. Trying to be healthy is important to me but I am far from a health nut ;)! Most importantly staying healthy and active to enjoy fun times with my two boys. Yes, staying at home and catching a movie with a glass of wine is nice...but not a homebody. I enjoy going out to meet people, having friends in, checking out community activities (it never fails to amaze me how much we have going on in our own backyard and we rarely check it out), even going for a walk somewhere new. Doesn't need to be glamorous or even glorious, just interesting.I am guilty of helping others...one of my true life loves...will drop things to help out a friend or family member. Glory is not my thing, just to be there and offer support when needed is all I need.Love to laugh (yes, I am almost always smiling), can't tell a joke to save my life, but willing to keep trying :)poor you. Don't ask me to sing or play *** I am happy to listen and cheer others on! A good beat goes a long way! I love all kinds of music if it is good, a little bit of everything.
