What I want is to be the reason someone smiles, as he would be for me. A thought that brings you happiness during a stressful day. I enjoy romance, and romance doesn't cost anything except for thought. I'm very passionate about music of all kinds. I love live music! I listen to everything from casual listening, jazz, classical to country, alternative rock and metal. I'm also one of the biggest female hockey fans you will ever meet (I'm not an Avs fan, though).I love getting into the gym. My workout buddy has found herself wrapped into work and life (in general), and I need a new workout partner. I'm really eager to get back into the gym, though! I was working out ***times a week doing cross-fit and using resistance straps, I even found myself quite enjoying yoga! I am an animal lover and have both cats and dogs in my home.I've been single for the greater part of the last 7 years. As I've gotten older I am finding that I hate the games. If something isn't working, I don't want to waste anybody's time, as I don't want mine wasted either. I'm pretty direct and straight forward. Don't ask me a question if you don't want an honest answer. I appreciate the same in return. I don't want this to seem mean, I think it's more mean to string a relationship along that one or both parties knows isn't working.I would like to add, I have faced life and death decisions. Decisions that have changed my outlook on life and how to live it. I live as positively as humanly possible. I am the ultimate optimist. I find something good in every situation. Even if I fail at something, I learn a lesson so the next attempt is successful. I don't like drama, and will shut it down immediately. I have learned how to NOT enable others to suck me into their drama. I have had to lose friends that were energy vampires, only for the good of my own sanity! I saw a quote recently that fits pretty well: Do not let others draw you into their storm, draw them into your peace. I am very family oriented. My grown children visit with me often. I will spend an entire day running around shopping with them, or BBQ'ing. I am the caretaker for my elderly father since we lost my mother last summer. This does not mean I don't have time for someone special, and my dad is NOT baggage. I have done my very best to not have "baggage".I set a pretty hefty goal for myself recently, and I achieved that goal when I became a homeowner in May. My next goal is a motorcycle! Please be employed, have reliable transportation and a place to call home before you engage me in conversation. I have several tattoos, and find men with tats more attractive. I like masculine men, but not necessarily so masculine they don't know how to treat the people around them with respect. I am not looking for any one-nighters. I won't give my phone number to strangers and I certainly won't invite someone to my home until I can meet and see his chemistry. If you are looking for a "hook up", I'm not the woman you want. (it's ridiculous I have to spell this out, but I've already been asked for all three in less than 4 hours on the site) A first date would have to be something mutually enjoyable by both people. Let's NOT make it coffee, I'm not a coffee drinker. A quiet location that allows two people to have a decent conversation would be great, but I've had a first date at a concert and it was fantastic! Let's hike! I love the mountains and still marvel at them after being here for nearly 8 years!
