About Me

My younger brother calls me the "glue" of the family. My father raised me to be independent and able to defend myself. My mother raised me to find the good in others and spread joy to those who need it.I enjoy meeting new people. I believe we are all different for a reason and we should seek the uniqueness in others. I won't pretend to be someone I'm not. I believe we should laugh every chance we get, apologize when we should and let go of what we cannot change. There's not one of us better than another or less than another. Material things are the least important in my life. Having nice things is nice. Having loving friends and family is what matters.Goals: My number one goal right now is to raise my 10-year old daughter to be a respectful and respected, happy young lady. I want her to learn how to love life, find her true self and be her true self. Interests:Working Out - I recently started running and working out. I've never had a weight problem, but at 40 I figure I might ought to start preventative measures. :-) Plus it just feels good to be fit. Eating/Cooking - I have always enjoyed being in the kitchen and experimenting with food. I won't claim to be the best cook, but I enjoy it. Seeing people enjoy what I cook brings a big smile to my face. I believe in eating healthy, but we have to have those occasional indulgences. The grill is my friend. Eating out is nice on occasion, but getting together with the grill is more fun to me. Dancing - My passion during my 20's and 30's was country dancing. I used to dance several nights a week...haven't danced much in the last 3 years though. Fishing - LOVE fishing! Any kind. A bad day fishing is better than a good day most other places. Haven't had the opportunity for it lately and that's just a darn shame.Outdoors - I really like most anything outdoors...camping, hunting, hiking, tubing (and, of course, fishing). Not afraid to get dirty.Music - I like music of all kinds, from *** to country to rock to jazz... (not much interest in rap or that crazy metal stuff, though)Photography - This is something I thoroughly enjoy, but just haven't made the time for it. I do make sure that my daughter and I take a road trip every spring through the hill country area to get pictures.Football is my favorite season. GO COWBOYS! (You can't hold that against me.)What I'm looking for:I know what I want. I want to be with someone who is happy with himself, confident but not self absorbed. A sense of humor is a must. I may be an independent tomboy, but I am very much woman and desire a masculine gentleman. Knowing how to balance responsibility and playing is a must. I don't do the jealousy thing...either way. I expect total honesty, as that is what I give.

    .lets see... I have been here before... many times sadly... not sure if it is that I am picky or just unlucky thus far... but thought I would give it another go... I am a bigger girl... and I know there is someone out there that can see the inner beauty and accept me for who I am...I want to find someone to share life experiences with... to share all the good and the bad times.. to be there for him when he needs me.. and have him there for me when I need him.. to give him his space or time with his friends and I enjoy my time with my friends.. someone to laugh with.. cry with.. have those little arguments and the best make ups ever.. not sure if I see marriage in my future... been there done that.. but would leave the door open to it if my partner felt strong about it.. I have strong convictions... I believe that hatred and war is a state of mind and can be halted with just making it happen... I have my faith but do not feel I need to be in a church to practice it... and karma of course.. my political views.. well lets not go there as I am in a good mood right now... I love animals and children and feel we need to speak up for them and fight against cruelty and bullying.. I cry at weddings.. and some Christmas commericals... I have feelings and can be hurt.. have been hurt.. but than again we all have been I am sure... so putting myself out there is the hardest thing I have done.. I am tired.. tired of going to social events by myself.. to movies by myself... dinners by myself... vacations by myself.. and so on ... I think you get the point.. Ok.. getting tired and it late anyway... I will write more later... cheers.
