A little about me at least from my perspective anyway……I consider myself a very open minded person, fortunate to have lived all over the world. My father was a pilot for Pan Am and my Mom is British. Although I 'm extremely independent / self-reliant able to take care of myself and kids, I'm actually rather traditional at heart and would like to be in a relationship where I can nurture a man in a more traditional sense. I want the real thing. I love life and have an uncanny ability to see the cup half full, see the silver lining in everything, even the most challenging of situations.I have a son who is 15 and daughter 14. Both great kids, warm loving, kind and great fun. I am most proud of the mother I have become. I work hard, have a great career but believe life is about balance. Life is short and you have to enjoy the life you have. It’s all about family and friends to me. Although I enjoy nice things they are not what define me. What’s important is that I am a good friend, good mother and that those around me know and feel that way about me. Things that make me happy, I love to cook, candles, my garden, watching my kids laughing together or ganging up on me..., love animals, barbecues, the ocean, tea, a new outfit, and old outfit....music, live music, stand up comedy, cuddling, people that are determined to enjoy life. Long weekend getaways. Trying new food...helping others. Could go on but that is a start. This depends on what we are in the mood for. Most likely somewhere you can actually hold a conversation.

I am looking for friendship to start and then a possible relationship with the right guy who would fit in with my family. I would like to meet someone in my area who would ideally have weekends off like myself, because it is very hard to get to know someone if you can never meet up. I do like lean and mean geeky bookish IT types of men with or without glasses. My mate would also have to enjoy travel, as I do. I speak three languages but English is my preference.-generation Italian-Canadian - all one hundred pounds of fire and spit. No I do not bite.I like cats, ice cream, geeks, travel to foreign lands, hockey playoffs, eighties one hit wonders, and camping and not always in that order. I afford vacations to Europe in summer and Caribbean destinations in winter on my own, AND I have travelled to several US and European destinations by myself on vacations and enjoyed those trips immensely. No fear. I have a well paying job, a ***SUV, and a house with no mortgage. If you like attending hockey games and concerts, well then we will get along just fine. . . not to mention all the shoe shopping (hey this girl loves Italian high heel shoes). No smokers please. Okay, I think a first meet would be required before a first date, but I am usually quite harmless on a first date and some suggestions would be coffee date, walk in the park, or heck come with me to get groceries. I also will go see any movie on the planet, as I go to the theatre so I can enjoy some of that bad for you artery clogging popcorn anyway. Love that stuff.

Woman. 43 years old. Zodiac sign: Leo.
Looking for: man. In age: 40-50
So, I'm trying this again with the belief that the guy for me is out there. I'm looking for someone who wants to meet their soulmate and is willing to put the time into getting to know me as I would with them. If you're old enough to possibly be my father or (ick my grandfather) then please move on. Same if you're married or recently separated. I'm not looking for a one off, a 'friends with benefits' relationship or someone who thinks asking about my sex life on a chat is a way to get to know me. So if you still feel after that statement, you might be interested, here's a bit about me.My friends would describe me as loyal, honest, a great listener, confident and fun to be around. I have opinions, but know when to keep them to myself. For the most part non-judgemental,at some point, we all judge others. I've always thought of myself as a homebody, just because I don't need to be out shopping, bar hopping all the time. I've been out dancing once since I moved here almost 5 years ago, had a great time! But feel no great need to do it every weekend. I do enjoy going to a movie once in awhile, maybe to a house party or bbq. I'm not materialistic and place a lot of value on how people treat others. ONE of my favourite ways to spend a stormy day is snuggled up watching a movie. I don't play games with someone's emotions and do my best to say what I mean and mean what I say. If we meet and I'm interested, you'll know. I don't go in for any of that 'wait for 3 days' nonsense. I also believe the greatest attribute you can bring to any relationship is honesty.I'm a firm believer that even if you're crazy about each other, it's healthy to need time apart. If you're a hunter(bonus because I love game meat), fisherman, or have a standing guys night/weekend thing, cool. My thoughts on going to pubs/bars with your/my friends is, 'go, have a great time and don't do anything you wouldn't do if your girl/guy was out with you.'You're thinking this girl is too good to be true!!!Still reading? So, what do I find attractive in a guy? Depends on the guy really. That being said, it does come down to personality, morals and whether or not you can carry on a conversation and if you know what it means to be a gentleman. While there has to be a physical chemistry between us, we also have to find each other emotionally and intellectually attractive. I understand if you prefer not to have a publicly posted image, but please include one in a message or I likely won't respond. It's always easy to find someone to do something with. It's hard to find someone you can have fun doing nothing with. The meet me feature doesn't seem all that reliable. Please feel free to just say hi!
