I am currently got a divorce after 15 years of marriage. I have not been out on a date in a long time and do not have any idea of how this all works anymore. I am a homebody to an extent, love to read, write, watch movies and old TV shows. I like to take photos. I do have a 12 soon to be 13 year old son who is with me every two days. He is starting to get his own life but I still want a partner to realize my son is part of my life and I want him to be treated well. I am thrifty, I prefer wild flowers over roses. I do not like jewelry accept for my watches. I am happier getting an Amazon card where I can buy more books. I also am a couponer. Not the crazy kind that jumps into dumpsters to get more coupons. You can only have so much toothpaste on hand. I am also a neat freak. Sorry can't help it. A touch of OCD handed down to me by my dad. I am not a girly girl. I prefer sneaks and jeans to heels and skirts. I have recently lost 35 pounds that I am very proud of. I am thoughtful. I pay attention to everything people tell me and store this knowledge in the back of my mind to possibly surprise them with something later. I want someone to look forward to talking to every night, someone to just tell about the crazy thing i just saw or my crazy day. Someone that cares if I make it home at night. I have been in realtionships where I feel I am putting my all into it and the other person does not. I want to be equal in the give and take. So picked the closest thing (where i used to live). I am also a transplant ***years ago) to this area as I used to live in Northeastern PA. I don't want games, or a liar. Life is too short to deal with all that drama. If we chat or talk for a while first then later have a date and it does not work, let us tell each other and not to waste the others time but we may have just made a good friendship *** if it does work that would be all the better.Okay this part is added after 2 months of being out here on the web trying to find the company of a nice and good looking gentleman. I now I feel the need to be a bit more specific because after 42 years of life I sort of know a bit of what I am looking for and not looking for. And I realize that dating at 40 something is nothing like it was 20 years ago. I would prefer a man who actually wants a relationship in every sense, not just the intamacy part. If the relationship is good eventually the intimate parts happen but not from the get go....If you just want that one thing go somewhere other than this site because I am sure some people on here actually want a person to grow old with. I also prefer someone between 36 to 47. I would like them to be around with me growing old together. I also do not have an issue with interracial relationships, but just not for me. I also don't get how some of the gentleman on this site say they want a reltionship although they say they are quite busy, they don't have a lot of time, their time is precious. Well a relationship is going to require time. I get that we have kids, jobs, hobbies etc, but if you aren't willing to share that with someone else then why bother? If you think this is too harsh I am sorry, but why waste time trying to find someone for all the wrong reasons. I still have hope that I will find a companion in life. I would like to take weekend afternoon and maybe go to a park and talk and walk. Of course this really only works in the warmer 3 seasons of the year. We would have to find something else to do in the winter months.
