I love being in the ocean, hiking, kayaking, exploring, digging, planting, building.I'm passionate about a lot of things - most importantly - equality among people, fairness, compassion, kindness, learning, and doing the right thing. I really enjoy learning about other cultures, religions, places.I have a hard time with closed-minded people.I am out-going, friendly, passionate, honest, loyal, adventurous, happy, mostly optimistic (although I do occasionally get irritated while driving -.. AAAAGHH!!), sarcastic, and smart. I have been married and divorced and don't feel the need to get married again, although I am not opposed to it. I don't have kids and I think I'm a little old to start that now, and am completely ok with that.I do have two cats and a rescue parrot who makes me laugh like nothing else!In the past ten years I have had a lucrative career in yacht financing, spent 3 years as a zookeeper at Lion Country Safari, and worked for a while as a stewardess on a 90ft yacht in the Bahamas. I'm not a vegetarian, but pretty close.I have owned a sailboat.I like to swim in the ocean.Sometimes my 'filter' doesn't work.I can be shy.I love camping - in a tent! I miss the mountains.I miss waves in the ocean.My brother is just about my favorite person in the world.Sometimes I curse to emphasize a point.I like to cook, but don't do it too often, it's no fun to cook for one.I've seen the Dalai Lama in person.I've seen the Grateful Dead in concert 3x (but I don't really remember!I love Indian food!I don't go to clubs.I have a terrible singing voice and will dance when I'm drunk.I don't drink often, but when I do, I drink tequila.My parents have been married for 46 years.I can use power tools.must make a note on my faith... Buddhist is probably closest to what I believe and attempt to practice, but I try to integrate the good of all religions into my life. I tend to really fall for the man who can make me laugh. If he's quick-witted, that is so much more attractive. Intelligence is another trait that totally captures my attention. I love to laugh and hope you do too...even at the most inappropriate and awkard times. It's difficult to write about yourself. Although, my friends say that I'm funny. I am definitely outgoing. I have been in sales for most of my life, so gettingto know people comes easily for me. I have great friends and hope that you do as well. Although, I don't want to physically have children at this stage in my life...I would love it if you had children. Kids are brutally honest...which, oftentimes, is hysterical to me. I don't have children of my own; however, I am a Godmother - to three awesome kids.I really prefer spending my life as part of a "two-some". To me, life is so much better shared. Don't get me wrong, I am very independent, but I also likesharing my day with that special person in my life. A man with self confidence (not egotism) is super attractive. If you know why dogs are cool....that's a plus. If you love and support your family...that's a biggerplus. I prefer ...books over magazines...pizza over lobster...intelligence overhot..although hot works too. I also prefer coffee over tea, dogs over cats, outgoing over shy, intelligent....edgy over straight-laced......I hate to write this, but I'm a rather tall girl.....however, I like to wear heels, and if you're my height...I'm going to tower over you. It's my issue...I feel less girly when I am looking down at your head. Sorry, no offense. Again, it's the old...it's me...not you line. But it's true.Also, can I give you men a word of advice....unless you are looking for a he-girl, we really do not want to see you and the dead animal you just conquered. Honestly, ewwwwww. Again, harsh, but true. You all seem to feel ok with ranting a bit, so, I figured, whey not? I can do it too :) Depends on each of our personalities...never dinner....and usually prefer drinks ...that way if we are not attracted to each other...or we don't enjoy each others' company....we can get the hell out of there! lol

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PUTTING THINGS ON HOLD FOR A WHILE GUYS!!!! FAMILY ISSUES TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER MY DATING LIFE. I AM SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE......Hi everyone!! I am a 43 yr. young mother of 3 children. Ages 25, 22, & 12. They are & always will be, my life, my reason for living! I am being honest, I have been separated from my hubby for 10 months & will not be going back to him. It was over a long time ago just haven't finalized papers yet. Navy brat, water baby, MISS THE BEACH!!!! Therefore I love the warmer seasons because I love to be outside. Especially when I can swim or just lounge beside the pool, work in my flower gardens, play with my daughter or my dogs.You can't be afraid of large dogs because I have a Rottweiler and a Husky and they are just big babies. I am currently disabled, but don't let that word scare you because I am still kicking!! I am a strong, independent, woman & I can still handle everything life throws at me. I have been seriously working on getting rid of the weight gained from being bedridden & the 4 surgeries I have undergone in 5 years. I have lost 43 pounds, but I want to get back to my pre-injury weight and I WILL SUCCEED! I also want to be able to get back into horseback riding, hiking, & kneeboarding! I also want to quit smoking & be as healthy as I can be!I am not the kind of woman who is afraid of breaking a nail or getting dirty. I am a Daddy's girl, so I can work on my own car, mow my own lawn, pretty much whatever needs to be done I can do it.I started painting abstract art a couple years ago. I had never painted anything in my life besides finger paints in elementary school. I still paint abstracts but i have done some waterfalls, beaches, I never know what I am going to do until I pick up the brush.; I was bored!! LOLI like many different genres of music, from old country, to Awolnation, 80's music, heavy metal and some classical. Spontaneous! One minute I may be watching tv and the next I am rearranging my living room or coming up with a renovation project. It depends on my mood :-)I am looking for a man who can be honest, loving, not afraid to show affection, knows the real meaning of intimacy, needs to be strong emotionally & mentally, physically is a plus ;-) I want a man, not another child to raise. I will not be your mother, your maid, or your cook. I know we all have baggage from previous relationships, but please try to leave them behind. It makes life so much easier :-) I will not deal with liars, cheaters, users or abusers. Been there, done that, not ever going back.
