I am want to meet a loving, kind, funny, social man to share my interests with. Or if that doesn't happen...some great people and new friends! :-) Family is priority. :)Others see me as a funny, loyal, romantic and a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. I am very down to earth and simple. Missing that special guy I can call 'amazing'. Thank you****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** coffee or a walk :)

I wanted a new environment for my boys, one filled with nature and culture. I love this town and the kind people in it. I'm continuing on with my volunteer work and I feel this town is filled with a giving and sweet spirit.I have been single now for 4 years and have enjoyed that time, raising my boys on my own and getting back to work. I hope to meet someone who is fun, enjoys the outdoors, likes kids, is responsible and honest....as those are all qualities I like in myself. It's just me and my boys....and a ridiculous looking dog right now. It would be fun to meet someone emotionally and financially secure. Someone who is easy going, intelligent, well read and well versed in the ways of our world. I am a huge animal lover so hunting is not something I would ever take part of. And smokers and heavy drinkers.....no thanks.Music has been and is a huge part of my life.I work from home, doing editing and translation and also give French lessons to kids around town. I love to travel, I've been to many cities and countries to list. Those are next on my list. And I would absolutely love to spend a month or two cruising around in an RV. I love living here....the sense of calm and quiet. The water and the trees and the fact that I can go barefoot most of the time. It would be nice to share this life with someone now. I finally feel the energy and positive attitude is back after spending some time hidden. Good luck out there, guys. It's tough meeting someone you click with. And I prefer to think that it just "happens". Love is pretty cool !! It's been a long time since I dated. I think I would most enjoy a nice dinner in a restaurant, sharing stories and getting to know one another. Anything outdoors too, would be a great time. I could never live in a big city again. I need fresh air, clean water, green spaces. So anything related to that would be a great date for me.

I love movies, theatre (watching and performing in), music, getting lost in a good book, keeping fit and being a student of life. I'm interested in other cultures and what makes people tick. People find me amusing, friendly and a bit crazy :) This all helps me work with getting High School students through, "when am I ever going to use this?!" moments. :p A sense of humour, or even better wit, are far more impressive to me than any car or thing. I'm looking for someone who is not only fun to be around but also loving, respectful and compassionate. Someone to share love, laughter and life with... who maybe loves clever comedy, is a bit nerdy/geeky/literate (ie. saw The Hobbit and The Great Gatsby!), has warm, smiling eyes, and if not loves the arts, at least has an appreciation for them. I have a good life, good friends and great sons, all I'd like now is the Great Guy! :)I recently wrote this to someone and think I need to add this to my profile since I'm in the Land of the Outdoorsy, I'm feeling like a fish out of water...I recently came to the realization that if some people are 'outdoorsy' than that would mean others could be 'indoorsy' and to be honest, that's where I put myself. That doesn't mean 'couch potato' just that I love going out for dinner, wandering around museums and/or bookstores, new towns/cities, antique stores, taking in live theatre or music, talking to people, good-friend gatherings, or watching a good movie. That's what 'rows my boat' as it were.. I do have a goofy Golden Retriever though, and we love to go walking - town, beach or woods. I have ventured out of (and realize the importance of stepping out of) my 'comfort zones', eg. rock climbing, snow shoeing and surfing (thanks to my sons!). I am quite willing and love the challenge but do require a bit of a nudge sometimes. :) perhaps a lunch date and a stroll afterward...
