Hi!I have a great career that is chugging along nicely, one that I enjoy and I appreciate the life it affords me. Like many others here, I have great friends and family (I swear, mine are better ;-) that I take the time to enjoy as much as I can. I have been called a foodie (I could be called worse) and I enjoy experimenting with food and wine both in our fantastic city at large and at home in my kitchen. I love to cook but it is always more fun with a sous chef at my side and a glass of wine in my hand. I have traveled quite extensively which has only proven to me that there is so much more to see and experience.... I am in my happy place when exploring hidden gems of the world.) I enjoy being outside on the ocean, on the mountains or in the city. I love to snowboard and "surf"..see foodie reference above) to cuddled up to watch a good movie or an episode of the Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Shameless or The Newsroom.My "fit" would be a man with a little edge- and by that i do not mean face-tattoo-edge - I mean witty and would feel comfortable at an indie concert or a wine tasting, and someone with varied life experiences.I am independent and self sufficient but I would like to meet that one man I can consider a partner in the true sense of the word - to take care of each other when one needs care, to share in life's realities, humour, dreams, hardships, and successes. I like to laugh, and am pretty happy generally with how my life is, I have great friends and I spend time with my family, I would just like a partner to share life with.I like to spend time at gallery openings, seeing live music, theatre, and dance, with a broad range of tastes in all. I love alternative rock and jazz and finding dives around the world to see it. I love outdoor concerts in the sun and intimate venues too. I love classical and singer/songwriter stuff. I love classical, especially chamber music, preferring small solos and quartets to large symphonies.I was hit by a car last March while riding my bike, a literal head-on collision with a minivan, so my physical activity is momentarily limited. I walk about 2- Can't wait to be back in top shape so I can enjoy my regular fare of running, cycling, hiking, snowshoeing, swimming...Throwing mid-week dinner parties is a worthy decadence. I cook like crazy, am half Italian and versed in French cooking, but most things I make are based on whole, organic foods made from scratch. I love fine dining and finding amazing hole-in-the-wall restaurants. I hate the word "foodie" and get called it a lot.I have travelled quite a bit and hope to do more. I like travelling in a variety of ways: road trips, backpacking or 5 star it, and pride myself on packing light. I have a passport, undies and a toothbrush in my purse at all times, ready for impromptu getaways.I am looking for someone who can hold a conversation, I like to talk about politics, religion and other topics that polite girls aren't supposed to broach, particularly over a bottle of a good red. On the other hand, I love puns, and being silly. I want someone who is a bit old fashioned, as I can't possibly make all the decisions and first moves. I like someone who has manners but is not pretentious. I don't want to be stood up, lied to or taken advantage of. I value quality over quantity.
