About Me

I am looking for a companion to enjoy simple things in everyday life. I have my own business and I am incredibly fulfilled with it and enjoy traveling, dining/cooking, dancing, movies or just sitting on a sofa talking... and laughing. Life is beautiful and everyday we make decisions how to spend it (and hopefully don't regret the decisions!). I am surrounded by so much joy, inspiration and greatness and would love to add another dimension to that - a friend and companion. I would like to share my time and my heart with someone who is optimistic and happy with his life, independent and not easily intimidated, gentlemen (even when no one is watching), who enjoys sharing and listening, is honest and thoughtful, affectionate and can open his heart to the possibility of a real connection. Love is a special gift we sometimes (if we're lucky) have a chance to experience and give, and that is truly what life is all about - not material things, neither a Rolex... nor a Rolodex of people we know. I saw a movie recently "Seeking a friend for the end of the world" and it made me ask myself what is important to me when it's all over... Best friend that I love. I am a hopeless romantic, always was and always will be. Me in short:- goofy sense of humor and I love to laugth - creatively driven / artistic / entrepreneurial- loyal and trusting- sarcastic / opinionated, but open minded - I enjoy a good discussion and deeper topics- fair and kind (I been told)- grammatically challenged (English is my 2nd language!) PS. My divorce was drama-free and I have a great trust/respect/friendship with my ex (sometimes people grow apart, but the children make us a family and I have an amazing well balanced and happy child), so I am looking for drama-free person with drama-free personal life. I am a happy person and having/keeping peace in my personal life is very important to me.Ps.     I am a hardworking, self-sufficient woman. I was a single mother for years. I could not figure out how to date and be a good parent simultaneously. So, decided to focus on being a mom first...especially since I only had one shot at being a parent. I always figured I would have time for myself later. Well, suddenly I find that time has come! The one problem...I have been out of the dating scene for so long, I'm not sure how to go about dating now! Things have changed in the past 10 years and I have gotten older. That said, I'm not getting any younger or hotter! LOL! So, if you are not looking for a relationship, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY WITHIN! Marriage is not a necessity...but I would not rule it out completely. Maybe one day I'd be willing to go there again. But really I'm just looking for a partner in crime. Someone to have fun with and go on adventures with. There are no set requirements for first date. Meeting for a drink or to have coffee is fine. A long walk (accompanied by my dog of course) at a park or cemetery (and no I don't mean a dark, scarey, weird place). Dinners seem to me a bit too much for a first date. If the chemistry is not there, it can make for a long, uncomfortable meal! Same with movies, and movies do not afford the ability to talk and get to know one another.

    I'm a single mom of two awesome kids (my son is 13, my daughter is 11). They take up much of my time but I am looking to meet a funny, intelligent, attractive, tall (I'm almost 5'9 so prefer men at least 6' or close to it :), just all around interesting man. I been described as a guy's girl and I tend to take that as a compliment...I'm laid back, love to watch and play sports, will go to the beach or boating any day of the week and twice on Sunday, and I truly prefer a beach or Irish bar to a club. Seems like every other profile I read says "I love to travel, I have been to 8 countries this year and I plan on hitting up 2 more this month". Ok, so that's a bit of an exaggeration but how does anyone have that much spare time or money for that matter (and really, who doesn't like vacations)?? I enjoy traveling as well but to be honest, with two kids, I don't get to do it as much as I like. Although having an airline pilot as a father allowed me to travel extensively as a child/young adult so I don't feel as though I'm missing anything for a few years. I'm much more likely to respond, thanks! First date? Depends on the person. Lunch, dinner, baseball game, bowling, beach... I'm up for anything really.
