I am simply the girl next door. I pride myself in being hard working, extremely honest and loyal, fun and easy going, intelligent and friends/family oriented. I come from a family of educators and consider myself intellectual and informed but at the same time I am tolerant of others with a laid back attitude. I have always balanced working hard and playing hard and would love to meet someone who does the same. However I have retired early so it would be nice if that person did have some R&R time to relax and maybe travel somewhere new. No games, no drama, life is too short. (the older I get the more true this becomes :)I am seeking a man who can make me SMILE and appreciate my sense of humor. A man that is confident in himself without being conceited. Someone who can have a conversation with my father or my 5 year old niece as easily as he can with me (and sincerely enjoy it). I would love to feel safe in his arms and happy to just hear his voice over the phone. Someone that prefers spending time with me, but is not lost without me. A man that enjoys good times with friends but also wouldn't mind attending a family function or an occasional "date night". ...a man that knows what he believes in...ethically, morally and spiritually, or at least is willing to explore his options with an open mind. Optimism, honesty, giving nature, strength, faithfulness, sense of humor and a kind heart. I am a woman that likes sports - yes gentlemen we do exist. I am just as comfortable at Citizens Bank Park as I am at the nail salon or the gym, but I am still definitively female and certainly not a "stats rat". I can also make my way around a kitchen pretty well and love to fill the bellies of those I care about. Anywhere we can have easy, laid back conversation :)

I am single with four kids but only two live with me. They are my life and dont know how I would make it without them but Im also ready to move on and have some fun in my life. Movie going is something I love to do on a routine basis. I love to read and I read a wide variety of books. Country Thunder and Nascar are 2 adventures I take yearly with my dog, camping wtih friends and family. I listen to rock n roll, jazz, big band, classical, country, and some hard rock. I also like to learn about new places and enjoy going to museums. Family and friends are very important to me.
