After reading several profiles, I've realized there are definitely 2 different categories of profiles: Detailed or NOT.I'm sure most people who take the time to sign up and create a profile appreciate the effort in a nicely worded description, and it confuses me why so many will write something as simple as, "I'm an open book... if you want to know something, just ask..." or "I'm not looking for any drama..." Aren't we all looking for someone who ultimately compliments us *** antagonizes us? And what about this open book comment I see every time I log in...what does that really mean, anyway? Are there closed books on this site looking to find the love of their life? Since I can only speak for myself and have little use for the profiles in the NOT category, I will do my best to write something to give people an idea of who I am.I am hoping to find my best friend, partner, lover and dream guy. He of course isn't perfect, but he is confident, funny, playful, not afraid to talk, and is just as excited to see me as I am to see him. He's cute because he's comfortable with who he is, whether he's short or tall, hair or not, thick or thin. He has a beautiful smile and isn't afraid to use it. Whatever his age he will be very young at heart, and is willing to live life and enjoys what this great world has to offer... I'm not really interested in staying in every night watching the news just yet. My parents have been married for 43 years and still look forward to seeing each other every day. They are best friends and fantastic role models- most definitely something I strive for in my next relationship.I have an 18 year old daughter who has recently become a pilot, which scares me more than I ever thought possible. I love her very much, she is becoming an amazing young woman and is a big part of my life. I enjoy playing poker, I'm always looking for a change in the daily routine, and welcome learning anything new. I've done a bit of traveling and would love to start doing a lot more. I tend to speak my mind freely, but am always willing to discuss differences rather than fighting or holding grudges. Communication is so important, and I've learned that I prefer someone who is able to talk through problems rather than yell and scream... I just don't understand how anyone wins with that type of relationship. I have had several different types of jobs, which has helped me develop an understanding of how people interact with each other. I have been in sales, social services work with at-risk teens, banking and corporate training- all different, yet each job offered some great advantages. I'll always have a soft spot for the kiddos, and have also done quite a bit of volunteer work to help out any way I can... they never cease to amaze me with their love and gratitude, it really takes so little to make kids feel loved (which should be felt by ALL kids).So- Please feel free to send me a message if you're interested in chatting for a bit, I'm not shy... oh yea, and per meetville qualifications...     Well I'm trying the online dating thing because people do not talk anymore. When you go somewhere like church, fry's, car wash, anywhere, no one says hi anymore. And I don't want to go to a bar because everyone is usually getting wasted or already drunk. They say more and more adults are trying online dating so I figured I would give it a chance. I work full time, go to college, and I'm a single mom.     Ok, so here it goes. This is the spicy, no b.s. side of me throwing this out there. I will be up front with you now so that neither of us waste our time. Lol. I love to go to wine tastings, art festivals, art walks, try new restaurants and listen to live music. I love hiking and being outdoors but I must admit that I'm outdoors a little less in the summertime. Hey, AZ can be brutal in the summer! Lol. I'm from FL and have been in AZ for almost 31 years so I'm pretty much a native. A first date should be something that's low key and casual. I find that meeting for coffee or an adult beverage first to see if there is a mutual attraction is a good way to go. If there isn't a mutual attraction then we are both adults about it and move on. No games or drama.
