After reading several profiles, I've realized there are definitely 2 different categories of profiles: Detailed or NOT.I'm sure most people who take the time to sign up and create a profile appreciate the effort in a nicely worded description, and it confuses me why so many will write something as simple as, "I'm an open book... if you want to know something, just ask..." or "I'm not looking for any drama..." Aren't we all looking for someone who ultimately compliments us *** antagonizes us? And what about this open book comment I see every time I log in...what does that really mean, anyway? Are there closed books on this site looking to find the love of their life? Since I can only speak for myself and have little use for the profiles in the NOT category, I will do my best to write something to give people an idea of who I am.I am hoping to find my best friend, partner, lover and dream guy. He of course isn't perfect, but he is confident, funny, playful, not afraid to talk, and is just as excited to see me as I am to see him. He's cute because he's comfortable with who he is, whether he's short or tall, hair or not, thick or thin. He has a beautiful smile and isn't afraid to use it. Whatever his age he will be very young at heart, and is willing to live life and enjoys what this great world has to offer... I'm not really interested in staying in every night watching the news just yet. My parents have been married for 43 years and still look forward to seeing each other every day. They are best friends and fantastic role models- most definitely something I strive for in my next relationship.I have an 18 year old daughter who has recently become a pilot, which scares me more than I ever thought possible. I love her very much, she is becoming an amazing young woman and is a big part of my life. I enjoy playing poker, I'm always looking for a change in the daily routine, and welcome learning anything new. I've done a bit of traveling and would love to start doing a lot more. I tend to speak my mind freely, but am always willing to discuss differences rather than fighting or holding grudges. Communication is so important, and I've learned that I prefer someone who is able to talk through problems rather than yell and scream... I just don't understand how anyone wins with that type of relationship. I have had several different types of jobs, which has helped me develop an understanding of how people interact with each other. I have been in sales, social services work with at-risk teens, banking and corporate training- all different, yet each job offered some great advantages. I'll always have a soft spot for the kiddos, and have also done quite a bit of volunteer work to help out any way I can... they never cease to amaze me with their love and gratitude, it really takes so little to make kids feel loved (which should be felt by ALL kids).So- Please feel free to send me a message if you're interested in chatting for a bit, I'm not shy... oh yea, and per meetville qualifications...     I work hard and try to play harder than I work. I love being outdoors, especially the beach, but do love evenings watching a good movie or reading a book.     Please read through my whole profile before deciding you want to meet me based on what my pictures look like.I have many hobbies, mostly gardening, crocheting and making things with my scroll saw. I am a pretty good pastry chef and not a bad cook.;solar powered", I love to be out in the sun in my gardens or playing with my scroll saw. I have 7 rose bushes and hundreds and hundreds of other flowers, not to mention my small vegetable garden.Due to the way God made me, I have to cook everything from scratch, there are very very few things I can eat that come in a can or a box, so I've learned to be a good cook.I am looking for a Christian man who is not intimidated by my crutches. I know, it doesn't seem as tho I need them but I do. I do as much as my body will allow, and then some, I only need my crutches so that I can walk longer and walk without fear of falling or being knocked into. I also have a "hot rod" (electric wheelchair) for when my crutches aren't enough. God saw fit to build me as a strong woman in this body, so I have spent the last 10 years figuring out what I can and cant do about it :) as a result, I have learned to adapt my life to make it easier to do the things I want to do. I smoke, right and left handed cigarettes ;) which also makes it easier to get things done. I am currently working on my house, one project at a time ( May 1 will be 10yrs since I bought my house)... just got the roof fixed, and the cooler mounted properly last summer, so now I am slowly mudding the ceiling in the hallway. next will be my room: drywalled and the ceiling textured. then painted and hopefully new carpet and tile somewhere along the way. We( my mom, bff and I) did the front room and kitchen 3 years ago. it still amazes me when I see it in the morning.We just finished painting the outside of the house! it looks soooo much better!!!I live a very quiet stress free life out in the middle of nowhere...I spend most of the warm days outside in my gardens and so i have a great tan I recycle and re-purpose as much as I can so as to lessen my carbon footprint and save money..lets see: my favorite tv shows are Big Bang Theory, Criminal Minds, NCIS and of course Millionaire and Jeopardy! favorite music is countryI like most colors (except black and pink.)I don't wear jewelry, so I won't ever want a diamond ring or necklace or other such frivolous bangle ;o)and my favorite food is chicken enchiladas from La Casita or when I make them(but that takes all day) because I even make the tortillas from scratch.of course my favorite place is home or with my friends, however with my chair I can go to museums, baseball games, the park, just about anywhere.my latest obsession is Words with Friends! i love love this game! I win ***% of the time.I am allergic to animals with hair (sorry not a pet lover) and I do not ride on motorcycles, not the back nor the front...I prefer to ride in a Chevy pick up (I have a ramp for my chair that requires a class 3 hitch)the tests on this site are a bit off...i don't believe I am in control because I believe that God is... it is a really nice little church :)anything else you want to know go ahead and ask :) now that just depends....hard to say because the possibilities are endless if I can go in my chair.......I like baseball games, museums, parks, & other outdoor places....with my crutches i just cant go as long or as far
