Hello ~ I have been divorced over 12 years and have not dated a lot during that time. My priority was raising a well-rounded son & I've done just that ~ he is now off to college and I am sitting in my empty nest envisioning what I want for the next 12 years or say - the rest of my life. I understand and respect that children of any age in a relationship are priority - I am no longer interested in starting over and having more kids of my own, but would welcome kids if that is part of the package.- but do believe a committed, healthy and exclusive relationship are important to me. I have found that the quietness of my home are both welcome and despised. I am comfortable in my own skin and have plenty to keep me busy. Boredom is not an issue, but I do miss having someone to talk to at the end of the day, make and share a meal with, or take the pressure off when my rope is unraveling! Living on a single income with a kid in college is a challenge, and I hope to find someone that is understanding that I can't always afford to take off and 'do' like I wish I could. In that respect, it is really, really hard for me not to contribute, be able to pay my own way or treat the person that I'm with. I'm a frugal and thrifty gal but on a very tight budget - work with me here!If I had an unlimited budget and could just get up and go and do whenever I felt the urge, you would find me taking a road trip, perhaps with at least one destination in mind and taking in the adventure. I enjoy a good movie, a great meal, trying different restaurants or ethnic foods and live music. I get out from time to time for a few drinks and enjoy time with friends and family. Since I don't have that unlimited budget, you will find me more of a homebody, connecting with friends & family via internet or out walking the dog. Exciting stuff, I tell you!What I'm looking for in a man is, of course, an attraction - I understand we all need that first spark. I find it difficult to be with shy people - I much prefer someone that is confident, but not****. I tend to lean towards clean cut, but not nerdy (lol) guys. I feel that people, in general, should be divorced (as in final!) for at least a year or so before embarking on dating and relationships. I am hoping that I don't have to mention employed, sane, clean and emotionally available. Please, please don't make me have to say that!!!! I hope to find a guy that enjoys meeting & being with my friends from time to time as I will be with his. I am not afraid to say hi first if I'm interested, try to reply to messages even if I'm not interested and doubly apt to reply if your profile has something - anything - of interest and is more than 2 lines. I'm putting real effort into finding someone for this next chapter of my life and hope to find someone that is in the same place as I am. Hope to hear from you ~ let's get this thing started!!! I truly believe that when the time is right that it won't be about candelight dinners and walks on the beach - it'll be the light bulb that goes on telling you that you've found respect, care, trust and compromise and it won't matter where it is when that happens!!
