About Me

ER RN. Work a lot. Divorced. Kids. They're pretty much grown. I'm hard-headed. But sweet. ??Apparently I can't list "The Good Stuff" as an interest. hmmm And I guess I don't care that my profile is "really lame."Update:Many ask what is my type..for vanity purposes, I prefer: TALL, clean-shaven, with a full head of hair, intelligent, sweet, and the ability to make me LAUGH. Tall is generally over 6'. I don't require washboard abs--those are kinda hard to snuggle up to, but somewhat fit is preferred. Those that shave your heads--I have nothing against you, you look great....but I need something to run my fingers thru and hold on to. Facial hair: I don't like. One that is planned--I'm old fashioned. It's the guy's responsibility to plan the date, and it should have a little "wow" factor. If I'm not worth an attempt to wow, you shouldn't be taking me out. ?? Someone who picks me up and then spends the next 30 minutes driving around asking what I want to do is not being polite--and isn't making a good impression. I am a romantic, so anything that makes me feel like a lady will be appreciated.

Well here I am on a dating web site... with the same hopes as most - to find someone cool. We'll see. I like sushi, red wine, the beach, rollercoasters, 90s alternative music, Modern Family, Tori Amos, going to the movies, laughing, talking, Cold Play, playing board games, playing some video games, traveling, sleeping, hiking, spending time with friends &/ or family, riding horses, teaching, learning, being a mom ... I teach math. It may not sound interesting but teaching is always interesting! No two days, or even two hours are the same. Kids are unique and amazing, mine included. I have one son. He is a really great kid! lucky for him - he attends the school i teach at. Sometimes I am the most embarassing thing on earth to him, while other times I'm his lifesaver at school.I have to admit that I have done the on-line dating thing before, but not on this site. I have met some good guys and some guys who were definately not good for me. I think so much of finding the right relationship depends on timing. Maybe this time will be right for me. A first date, for me should be one with an opportunity to talk and get to know each other. It can take place just about anywhere. Dinner is nice. Lunch or coffee is okay. I prefer a glass of wine or a beer to be honest. It makes the situation a little more comfortable. Although, too much drinking is probably not a good idea on a first date either.

I've edited this a couple times because I'm just not good at describing myself but maybe the third time's the charm. :)I have two children who are my world! My son's 16 and my daughter's 3. I have a full time job and I'm a full time mom (and dad to my daughter) so I don't have a lot of "free" time to go out and meet someone. That's why I'm back here. I'm not into the bar scene but do drink occassionally, just not often. I'd much rather hang out at a friends, or at home, have a few drinks and not worry about how I'm getting home then pay an outrageuos amount of money for a couple drinks and hope the designated driver stayed sober. I can tolerate just about any type of music but usually end up listening to country, r&b or rap. The best songs are ones you can relate to, regardless of the "category". I'm pretty easy going but that doesn't mean I always bite my tongue. If I feel strongly about something I'll let it be known. But, despite having my own beliefs I'm still able to see things through other people's eyes. I enjoy a good debate, where there's no right or wrong answer because I like being challenged to think outside the box. I might not always like what's outside the box but I still go there. lolI'm definately not high maintenance! I don't have to have my hair fixed perfectly and make up on before stepping outside. And it doesn't take me hours to get ready to go out. I'm most comfortable wearing shorts and a t shirt.I enjoy watching the Panthers, but don't enjoy watching them loose every Sunday. I also enjoy basketball and tennis although I don't play that often. I would enjoy shooting pool if my balls ever went where I thought they should go. But I'm not always a sore looser so I keep playing. :)I'm not looking for a man to take care of me and my children. I think I'm doing a pretty good job of that myself. But I would like a man to spend my spare time with. I love my kids to death but I'm really starting to miss the adult conversations and companionship that comes witht a committed relationship. I'm not expecting it to happen over night but I'm also not expecting the conversations to stay purely online. However, that doesn't mean I'll give you my number after a quick hello. I want to know that we actually have something to talk about before moving from the computer screen to phone.I'm looking for someone who can keep a conversation going. I'm used to putting forth A LOT of effort into conversations with a teenager and preschooler. I refuse to do the same with an adult. I don't want another child to raise so if you don't have a job, car, and your own place, we probably won't hit it off. If you don't have all your teeth, it's not going to work, either. Sorry, but we all have turn offs and I've realized it's important to list "teeth" as a requirement. If you have teeth, support yourself, and can carry on an intelligent conversation, we'll probably get along. Happy fishing! :)
