These things are generally hard to fill out....what does one say? I am a happy person who always sees the glass as ***full. I like to laugh and have a good time but I like to be serious as well. I currently work for an insurance company for what seems like a long long time. I'm pretty easy going and like to try new things. I love to travel, mostly cruises or to the beach somewhere. I have been to the islands quite a bit but never far outside the country, would love to go to Europe someday. I enjoy going out, but I also like quiet evenings at home. I like to do karaoke, bowl, play pool, or just sit around and listen to music, or get up dance to it as well. I like to read and I prefer escaping into a fiction novel, any type of genre.....I like them all. When it comes to music I like about everything, no country please. I'm looking for new friends. I have way too much free time now and it would be nice to have some new people to hangout with. If it turns into something more down the road with someone, cool. If not, that's cool too.I love music, all of it! I can't live without it kind of love. I sing at the top of my lungs...when no one is listening, haha!! Going to live shows is probably the best thing you could ask me to do. I like going for walks, people watching, going to the zoos, carnivals & fairs. If you like/love any or all of that we would more than likely get along well.I'm pretty shy and quiet most of the time, I giggle when I'm nervous, some find it cute, I don’t know about that. Apparently I'm a bit of a nerdy girl because I'm a Whovian. and I love Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Star Trek TNG, SCI-FI and other things of that sort. I think it might be the glasses a bit too. I dunno... Just what I've heard.I need friends who can handle their booze and their temper! Or friends who don't drink at all. friends with a lot of patience, because I can be a handful at times. People that can make me laugh... I've kind of forgotten the fun part of life. I don't really cook so it would be kind of nice if either you could or you TRIED to teach me. Or we could just fumble around in the kitchen together. I'd like to go more places where I can take pictures. Sometimes I have multicolored hair. I feel most comfy in jeans and a hoody. I prefer the cold months over the warm/hot months I don't drive, never have probably never will. I almost always have a camera on me, but rarely do I let my picture be taken (unless I am the one holding the camera) I have 2 cats that drive me crazy. If you don't like cats, we wont get along. I can be very sarcastic at times... all depends on who I'm with and how I feel that day.Everyone talks about what they like and what they are into. I guess it's just as important what you're not into. So, for the most part I am not into fishing, camping, hunting (I'd rather take pictures of the animals) I'm not a summer person, you won’t find me at the beach. Not really into games... card, video, board or head for that matter. I think that covers the major things. If you love to do these things that's ok, we all need things we can do with other friends or on our own. I like having me time sometimes. I don't' know.. depends on the other person. I'm shy at first so nothing to overwhelming please. Maybe a walk if the weather is nice? Sit somewhere and people watch?

People tell me I'm funny, and I'm definitely sarcastic. This side of me is more apparent the more I get to know someone. I am a jeans and t-shirt, low-maintenance kind of girl, but I have no problem dressing up for a night on the town. I listen to all types of music, it really depends on my mood at the moment. It is amazing how music can evoke a memory, or you can hear someone else's lyrics perfectly describing your own experiences and moods. I enjoy live music, grew up playing percussion, and would like to learn guitar. I'm the mother of two children, ages 9 and 13. They, of course, are my first priority, but I always make time for that special someone. My kids keep me pretty busy with sports and extracurriculars. I like sports, and I coach basketball. I also love to watch the Vikings. I like to be out on the water fishing, and yes, I can bait my own hook. I enjoy nature, camping, and going to the cabin. I think it is great to "unplug" for a few days. I like to cook and bake. I am the type of person who will bake you your favorite cookies just because. I like to do thoughtful things like that to put a smile on someone's face. I like new experiences, and I want to expose my children to different things, so I take them camping, to the theater, museums, sporting events, concerts, etc. It would be great to have another adult to enjoy these things with too. :) I am a self-proclaimed nerd. I read a lot (my bookshelves are overflowing), watch a lot of movies, know a bunch of random facts and trivia, can quote movies and TV shows, and use made-up words like floopy. I am a very open-minded, tolerant individual. I think everyone is entitled to their beliefs/opinions, as long as those beliefs do not infringe on the rights of anyone else. I don't mind if we don't agree about politics or religion, as long as you don't try to force your beliefs on me.What am I looking for? Communication, an open-mind, laughing til it hurts. Someone who is physically, emotionally, and intellectually compatible. Intelligent conversation. Someone who will challenge my mind. It may sound corny, but I recently heard the song "Smile" by Uncle Kracker on the radio, and I thought--that's what I want. And that's what I want to be for somebody. Low-key dinner or drinks where we can talk and get to know each other. Something entertaining or engaging, such as live music, a sporting event, mini-golf, the zoo, etc. I think it really depends on the person I am with. Hopefully we know enough about each other so we can come up with a fun, mutually agreed-upon activity. Although, I do like surprises! :)
