I want to wake up next to you well after 7 on a random Sunday morning without anywhere to go... To look over at you while you sleep and not for the first time marvel at how grateful I am to have finally found you. To reach over and lightly stroke your cheek. You stir, a slow smile crossing your face, and I spend the next hour just gently caressing your face, peppering you with soft kisses and reminding you (and me) why we are meant to be in this together....I want to ask you how your dreaded meeting went on a Tuesday afternoon and really listen to your answer ~ telling you how well you handled yourself or encouraging you to go get 'em next time! I want you to really listen to me too. I want to cook you yummy food and laugh with you when the latest and greatest healthy recipe I try turns out too salty and we have to order pizza *** want to eat what you cook for me and arm wrestle over who has to do the dishes ~ then do them myself without complaint. I want you to want me, and I want to want you. Not just physically, though that is important too. But I want us to just want to be near each other ~ to hear each others' voices and to yearn to hear what the other has to say on any given topic. I want to play games like Scattegories and Uno and enjoy my losses just as much as my wins because I know I was beaten by a fierce, intelligent competitor who has my utmost respect.I want ~ no I need ~ for you to love me AND my daughter. Not *** course, these things both take time. But you have to see her as a bonus rather than baggage.
