-town girl, but have lived all over the US and spent lots of time abroad. I have backpacked through Europe for 3 months by myself (I am still telling stories from my adventure) and spent a semester abroud in Austria. I like to be productive and active, but that doesn't mean I cannot spend a lazy Sunday on the couch watching golf or football (those are my sports, but if you are a basketball or NASCAR fan, I am sure we can find some compromise). I like to think I have found that balance in my life. I love to bake (I make killer cupcakes) and am learning how to cook without setting off a fire alarm. I am always looking for new food/restaurants/farmers markets, adventure, fashion, kitchen gadgets, antiques and more... I love country music but listen to all kinds of other music too...not much that I don't like!I do have a six and a half year old daughter who is the best, most easy-going kid I know. She is so good and sweet and pure...I love seeing the world through her eyes. She is definitely not "baggage", but rather the icing on the cake in my life ;-) I know exactly who I am and what I want in a partner... Seriously and most importantly, mutual respect and admiration for each other. Having independant interests and activities, but knowing at the end of the day that the idea that being together is the best part and giving each other the encouragement to dream big and live bigger! I am looking for someone who stands up for their own self and who can also stand up for me when I need it. I want to be with someone who is independent, educated, funny (witty, not who has read ***knock knock jokes) and adventurous, but who can also come home, turn on a stupid movie and just enjoy each other's company. Hello. Life is an adventure and journey, I feel lucky to call the Bay Area home! I have been told I am an interesting creature based on the choices I have made in careers. So here's readers digest version of me...a semi-retired Deputy Sheriff, transformed into a massage therapist/esthetician and budding jewelry artist. I eventually would like to own my small business in the spa/wellness industry as well as starting a couple of other businesses. I plan taking more classes in metal smithing, glass blowing, jewelry making, glass slumping, and maybe welding sometime soon. I am also looking forward to volunteering at the marine mammal center within the next couple months.
