If I were a movie, I'd be a good though extremely dark comedy.;"I'm frequently entertaining, too smart for my own good, have numerous intriguing talents and a broad base of knowledge about all sorts of random and potentially interesting topics... But I also suffer from depression (the unipolar kind) and have anxiety problems. I'm an insatiable hornball and one of the most sexually versatile people you'll ever meet, but I also care deeply about anyone I allow into my life, whether as a friend or a lover. I'm the girl who will see her friends through a bad breakup or a family tragedy... But I'll frequently pass on parties because I'm scared I'll end up bringing people down.I speak three languages (two fluently, one barely well enough to get around), play four *** drums are my best, but I'm passably okay on the keyboard, guitar and bass guitar), am an increasingly capable seamstress, a feminist, a strong atheist (aka "gnostic atheist"), an existentialist, an INFP, an amazing cook (especially within the realms of Indian and Mexican food), a grammar Nazi and a dominant leaning switch. I am very very sex positive, queer positive, kink positive, poly friendly, body positive and pro-choice on pretty much any issue to which the term "pro choice" could reasonably be applied to.I try to stay out of politics, but when push comes to shove I'm extremely liberal on most social issues and moderate on most financial ones.I will dislike you immediately if you can't figure out the difference between "you're" and "your" or the difference between "there," "they're" and "their"... And I'll like you immediately if you demonstrate a genuine interest in Sartre, Camus, Freud or Jung. Or if you're a complete nerd about chemistry, physics or math. Or if you're a very capable musician, regardless of *** style.In the last few years I've become very emotionally guarded, but I'm starting to realize that it's made my life very boring. I'm hoping to meet someone (or multiple someones) who will amaze me enough to make me open up, despite how scary I find the prospect of doing so again. On a first date, if it's completely up to me, I prefer to just spend some time talking and getting to know each other somewhere quiet. This can mean a lovely picnic in the park if it's nice out, or it can meet a quiet coffee shop or restaurant... heck, even a fast food place or a library would work for me for this initial conversation. Then, if we feel comfortable enough around each other, I'm usually cool to go do something more interesting - like dancing or a movie.
