Who am I in a soundbite? And if that means something to you then there's your *** me in 15 words or less. And if it doesn't? Then I'll tell you that I'm comfortable with other people's emotions but guarded with my own. I'll make a fool of myself publicly but singing in front of people gives me palpitations. I'm psychic, but only when I have time for that sort of nonsense. I'm an extravagant, starry-eyed dreamer who knows when to cut her losses. I'm a poet who prefers to show her affection and love through deeds and touch. I'm a bubbly philosopher who can't help but laugh at her own dark moods.I smell like lilacs in a muddy garden. I'm submissive in bed, but submissive like smoke. You can shape me only if you breathe me in and breathe me back out again. Or if you use a fan. Or hoses. You know, to put me in a balloon. You can also use me to cure your meat.See? There's why I failed as a poet. I can never take my metaphors seriously. And what else do you really need to know, that pretty much says it all.More? Ok. I'm polyamorous and am absolutely not looking for an exclusive relationship. But that doesn't mean I'm just looking for sex. It means that I don't believe in "The One"; I believe that love is infinite and that the heart is capable of expanding exponentially. It's time that refuses to expand, and time that determines how many people you can have in your life. I'm a busy person, but intrigue me, make me think, make me laugh, turn me on and I'll make time for you. I enjoy embroidery, spinning (tales or fiber, not bicycles) working with herbs and spices, cooking, baking, reading, writing. I just took up the ukulele and I'm singing in public these days. I'm into sci-fi, fantasy, steampunk, alternate realities. I've got a degree in anthropology and another in creative writing and I'm ready to start a third in divinity. I'm a poet and an educator and a catalyst.I'm friendly. Mostly. And yes, I bite...Oh, and I put "octopus" up there because I've got fingers in so many projects. And because octopi are among my favorite of earth creatures. Is it a date, or is it just coffee? A first date is going to be something casual and commitment free. Coffee or a drink somewhere. Some place we can take each other's temperature and make sure that the other actually reflects the profile that intrigued us. It's the second date that's going to mean more to me. And that I can't give a standard response to. Because the second date depends entirely on our joint interests. It'll be something that we can talk through, though, because what's the point if we're not talking, and, hopefully, laughing?
