I'll make this short and sweet like me. I'm 36, No kids.. recently unemployed (flag #1) and I'm a hopeless yet idealistic romantic. My parents have been married for over 45 years and they are still very much in love.. That is what I'm looking for, I want it all! I don't think you have to settle for one to have the other and I wont stop until I get it..(prob why I'm 36 and still single with no kids). I have been through all walks of life and can pretty much have a conversation with just about anyone.. even a nut-job. I have a dark, yet light and wild sense of humor and LOVE to laugh. I can laugh at myself.. no problem, but I'm really looking for that guy who keeps me giggling all the time. I'm not looking for any "reformed bad buys".. that prob just means you used to be a****and you prob still are, plus I've prob done much worse than you have :) If your profile has shirtless pics of you in front of your jet-ski or pounding a Pabst at the lake with your bros.. actually if your shirtless at all please don't respond, it's just too cheesy for me and makes me feel embarrassed for you.. I'm not a prude but I do have a strong set of morals and values that I try to adhere. I have traveled the world, taught middle school for 7 years and did some independent consulting and care-giving up until now. Although I would still like to work and am avidly job searching what I really want in life is to be the worlds most bad ass mom/caregiver. I'm a Cancer, we are born to nurture and love with abandon. Some might call me a free spirit or one who leads an alternative lifestyle but I don't like labels much. I have the soul of a pirate and I love the ocean. I feel most calm and serene hanging out on one the cliffs on the northern coast.. LOVE to fish and camp too. I've dated a couple of times on this site and I can honestly say with the exception of one (who is now in jail for stalking, assaulting, and car jacking etc.) we are still friends to this day. I believe everyone has value and friendships are important. People enter and exit your life for specific reasons, we just don't know what they are yet... right? I'm looking for a grown man who is non-judgmental, passionate, likes music, will dance at a wedding, bring me flowers sometimes and wants to find the one special lady for the rest of his life. Not into the bar scene at all.. not partying till i puke kinda love lol. I will stop now before you really start to figure out how odd I am :) Hmm. All depends on how we click, what we are into. I love good coffee and good chocolate.. Hanging out at the park, going to the zoo. Anything goes with me. I guess some people don't get life without a phone permanently planted to or near them at all times of the day/night. Sure, I hear my phone ring or chime but I am one that does set the electric device down and walk away. Its a phone, right? lol I think I might be venting.. hehehe sorry... ***Hello? are you there?***No! I'm over here and my phone is over there. I'm not reading text messages right now, I'm living life..... lol ok I'm done. Maybe I should get to my point though..? I'm not going to be the one that wants to "text" or talk to you if we don't at least click on here first. I mean "really click". I am honest to a fault. I say what is on my mind before I realize someone’s feelings might be hurt. “Its better to know how to learn then to know.” Although I do enjoy sharing “know how.” I seek knowledge and wisdom and don’t like feeling as if my wings have been clipped, “being held back.” Even in a restrictive situation, I tend to never lose hope. I am ambitious and optimistic and continue to be so even when my hopes feel heavy. My friends say that I am honorable, honest, trustworthy, generous and sincere. I balance loyalty with independence. I am full of energy and adventure. I think it is VERY important to involve my children in a lot of different stimulating activities. I enjoy seeing them have a good time and enjoy sharing good times with them. I am not a big fan of other people bossing my children around. I am their boss. I wouldn’t jump in and start bossing your children around and I expect that same respect. I am very close to my kiddos and as with every good parent, they do come first. I’m not one to pay a sitter every day of the week to go out and meet new people or to bar hop. If there is a connection and I feel as if it could go beyond “chatting”, then I would LOVE to break free and go out on a fun date. Also, with that being said, I AM a single mom. I pay ALL the bills, pay for ALL of my kids clothes, pay for the gas to take them places and to keep them fed well. My point is, I have turned down a date or two because of the simple fact of NOT being able to budget a babysitter in my funds. It would be nice if some of you fellas would offer to cover the sitter cost once in a while. (((hint hint)))…. I am going to leave it up to you to ask if there is anything else you would like to know. PLEASE don’t write asking me to “Tell you a little about myself” or “What I like to do for fun”. thought i'd give this a try, and cause i'm past the meeting people in a bar stage & not sure where else to do it...the grocery store idea hasn't worked out so well, lol. Some random facts about me... i love to laugh, i like action movies over sappy movies, i'm sarcastic, kinda clumsy, not a great cook but a great bargin shopper and i'm fascinated by sharks & extreme weather lol. i'm interested in anything to do with art, renovating, photography, architecture & history.
